[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.
I’ll rank my favorite to least favorite-
Daisy-It’s perfect. I love it. Definitely don’t not like it! It’s just impossible to say without a smile, vintage, feminine & has lovely floral imagery.
Jane-It’s simple & sleek & smart and classic. [name_f]Janie[/name_f] is a cute natural nn. It’s well known but not too over done.
Ismay/Esme-I don’t like [name_f]Ismay[/name_f] at all, but [name_u]Esme[/name_u] is a stunner. Reminds me of a star and fairies, but in a bright slightly electric way.
Ginny-This is tough to decide whether or not I like it, because I think that it’s darling as a nn to [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] or [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] (or [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], but I find [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] snooty), but it’s too nick-name-y on its own.
Cordelia-Sometimes I find this romantic & pretty & interesting. But I also just see/hear the word ‘cord’ very loudly, & that’s not super attractive. I do like just [name_f]Delia[/name_f] & just [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. [name_u]Or[/name_u] [name_f]Coraline[/name_f].
Mavis-I love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f], but something about this reads old mean librarian to me.
Philippa-I can see the appeal of [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], but [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] is kind of hard to say.
Effie-I can see the appeal of this…but definitely better as a nn. Not sure what for though.
Persephone-I should like this. I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. But I don’t like [name_f]Stephanie[/name_f] & this reminds me more of that.
Genevieve-I love [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f], [name_f]Aviva[/name_f], Vivian…lots of names similar to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], but just don’t love this at all.
Hermione-All I can think of is hermit crab.
[name_u]Vision[/name_u] (thanks @snowmaiden !)-I think it’s okay as a middle name, but maybe too much as a first.
Pax-I like the meaning, but nothing about this screams feminine name to me. It barely screams name. I don’t like it for a boy either, even though I love [name_u]Max[/name_u], so go figure.
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
