[name_f]Margot[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], and (I’m adding) [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] are my favourite nicknames for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Peggy[/name_f], but I can understand why you’re not a fan.
I adore [name_f]Greta[/name_f], and love it for a name on its own too. So stylish! Second choice would be [name_f]May[/name_f]/ [name_f]Mae[/name_f] - I love the classic simplicity and freshness of [name_f]May[/name_f]. [name_f]Margot[/name_f] feels kind of harsh to me, though it seems to be a generally well-liked name at the moment.
I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] but I love [name_f]Mae[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a better match with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f], but I like [name_f]Greta[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] a lot more as a [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] myself.
I chose [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
What about [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]?
My favorite, with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and on it’s own, is [name_f]Greta[/name_f].
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]! I like [name_f]Margot[/name_f] too, but not so much as a nickname.
I love both [name_f]Margot[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f]! Couldn’t choose so I voted for both, but I like [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] perhaps a tad more. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] personally doesn’t appeal to me (it’s also the Portuguese word for “mom”, and my boyfriend refers to his mom that way, so it doesn’t really register as a name anymore in my head). To me [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Mae[/name_f] are also a little “country bumpkin” next to each other… both [name_f]Greta[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] feel a little more refreshing and refined.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] is my favourite overall but [name_f]Mae[/name_f] sounds the best with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f].
I really love [name_f]Mae[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. And it is so sweet with [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]!
I voted for [name_f]Mae[/name_f], though I like it spelled [name_f]May[/name_f] better, especially as a nickname. [name_f]Mae[/name_f] looks more like it should be a full name to me. [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]May[/name_f] sound dainty and vintage, like sisters from the early 20th century in sweet frocks and straw boater hats with ribbons in their hair.
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] is lovely, but it doesn’t really feel like a nickname to me either. Would you consider using it as a full name? It stands alone perfectly well and just because your older daughter goes by a nickname doesn’t mean all subsequent children have to.
[name_f]Greta[/name_f] feels pretty clunky and unappealing to me, sorry.
I love the strength of [name_f]Greta[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Margot[/name_f]! I think it’s beautiful, sweet, and spunky. I also think [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Margot[/name_f] go so well together.
I also really like [name_f]Greta[/name_f], though. I think it’s an underused gem, and I love the vibes [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] give me.
[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is beautiful too. I think its sweet and lovely. I just prefer [name_f]Margot[/name_f] & [name_f]Greta[/name_f]!
