Maybe [name_f]Dot[/name_f]? I like [name_m]Odie[/name_m] the best from your list, feels most natural.
I like [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Odelle[/name_f], [name_f]Ode[/name_f] (so sweet), and [name_f]Dilly[/name_f]. However, [name_f]Ode[/name_f] and [name_f]Oda[/name_f] remind me of someone with an accent saying “odor”.
@catzixo - Thank you, I hadn’t thought of [name_f]Dot[/name_f]! And I do rather like it. I guess it’s just the T sound - I prefer to stick to the actual sounds in the name, even if they’re switched round. Though I do like [name_f]Odette[/name_f], and that has it, so . . . !
@namergirl3 - Thank you! I know, that’s the problem with [name_f]Oda[/name_f]! I say odour like that (guess I have an accent!), but the O is slightly longer, like ode-ah, and [name_f]Oda[/name_f] is more oh-da. I’m not 100% convinced on [name_f]Ode[/name_f] yet, but it is sweet. [name_f]Dilly[/name_f] I think is pretty, but it seems to get a lot of negative reactions.
I like [name_f]Dot[/name_f] and [name_f]Dolly[/name_f].
My favourites are [name_u]Ollie[/name_u] and [name_f]Delia[/name_f].
Of the options in your poll, I think [name_f]Dilly[/name_f] is sweet, but I like [name_f]Dee[/name_f] best and think it feels the most natural as that’s the stressed syllable.
