Which of these 2 boy names for a girl?

Hubby and I love traditionally boy names for girls. We also want to inject some family history into our baby’s name. Our top options right now (last name is single syllable, starting with S):

[name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] (nn [name_f]Emma[/name_f])
(After grandma named [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and other grandma middle name [name_u]Laine[/name_u])

[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] (nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f])
(After aunt named [name_f]Lola[/name_f], same grandma relation for middle name)

Thoughts?

I prefer [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f] - cute idea

I vastly prefer [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] nn [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_u]Logan[/name_u] is also great on a girl but i dont care for [name_f]Lola[/name_f] at all and I prefer [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] with middle name [name_f]Liane[/name_f].

Not sure if this was a typo but it’s [name_u]Laine[/name_u] (pronounced like [name_u]Lane[/name_u]) not [name_f]Liane[/name_f]…
does that change your mind about the flow? Because I totally agree - [name_f]Liane[/name_f] doesn’t flow well with either in my opinion!

And obviously [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is just a nickname. The primary name would be [name_u]Logan[/name_u].

Appreciate your insight! Thank you

I think it’s a good idea!

Definitely [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] (although [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] is way more appealing to the eye)! Although I can kind of see [name_u]Logan[/name_u] on a girl, it’s nowhere near as lovely as [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m]

If it was the [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] spelling that’d be my choice, but [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] looks a little clunky to me, so, [name_u]Logan[/name_u].

Ohh the nicknames sold me on both names.
I think I prefer [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] as a combo

Both are great options! But if I had to choose, I’d go with [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]. I find the alliteration so lovely in this combination, I think [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is very sweet and it’s also far less common compared to [name_f]Emma[/name_f], and I’m not sure I like the flow of the ‘s’ in both [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] and your surname.

I think these are both super cute options. I think [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] is lovely but [name_f]Emma[/name_f] is a crazy popular name. Maybe [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] instead?

I also really like [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] with the nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f]. [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] does make me think of [name_f]Lois[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u] from superman but that’s not necessarily a bad thing haha.

[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] aka [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is really sweet.

I prefer [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] flows better and is a gorgeous combo!

I don’t think either are bad options. While I do know of a few female [name_u]Logan[/name_u]'s, in my eyes, it is harder for a girl to pull off. [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] also sounds a bit like a comic book character, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, I do prefer [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]. [name_f]Lola[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] are cute nicknames.

I prefer the flow of [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_u]Lane[/name_u]. However, I’m really not a fan on -son names on girls, so I do prefer [name_u]Logan[/name_u].

i love [name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u]!!

[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] for me!

I prefer [name_u]Logan[/name_u] if you’re set on spelling [name_m]Emmerson[/name_m] like that, but I love [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] - the extra M looks weird to me

[name_u]Logan[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] gets my vote! I’ve actually known more girls named [name_u]Logan[/name_u] than boys and the nickname [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is beyond adorable (as is the alliteration in that combo)!

[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] [name_u]Laine[/name_u] is adorable.
