[name]Shea[/name] or rafferty.
Which do you like best and describe the kind of boy/man you see with the name
Neither is really my style, but I’d vote for [name]Rafferty[/name] simply because [name]Shea[/name] sounds potentially feminine to me.
I’d pick [name]Rafferty[/name]. [name]Shea[/name] sort of sounds feminine to me. [name]Rafferty[/name] is very fresh and stylish.
I second this!
[name]Rafferty[/name]. [name]Shea[/name] makes me think of [name]Shae[/name] which I strongly consider a girls name.
My friend just had a baby boy Ol1ver [name]Shea[/name]. I think its handsome in the middle spot with an more obvious male fn. I like [name]Rafferty[/name] more as a first. [name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Shea[/name] would make a nice combo.
I much prefer Rafferty… Boyish and charming…love nn Rafe! Shea is ok but I don’t really have a strong reaction to it either way… I feel a bit indifferent!
I’m going to go against the grain and say I prefer [name]Shea[/name]. I don’t think it’s overly feminine at all. [name]Rafferty[/name] looks more like a surname to me, than a first, and feels really clunky and heavy.
All of this. Plus [name]Rafferty[/name] always reminds me of the word ‘raggedy’ so I picture someone dishevelled, unkempt and kind of tramp-like. Sorry.
I would go with [name]Rafferty[/name]! I think its a much stronger sounding boys name, [name]Shea[/name] feels a bit girly!
The imagine [name]Shea[/name] conjures for me is that of spunky, athletic girl. The imagine [name]Rafferty[/name] conjures for me is a somewhat rakish, devil way care kind of guy with a nice smile. I do like the nn name [name]Rafe[/name] which strikes me as very masculine.
This, plus what charlieandperry1 said!
I prefer [name]Rafferty[/name] though the name makes me feel like he’d be a little handful!
I think [name]Rafferty[/name] is weirdly cool in a nerdy kind of way. And I agree with this poster that [name]Shea[/name] sounds great as a mn after a more masculine fn.
I agree with you charlieandperry1
[name]Shea[/name] is feminine to me. I have known two, both females. [name]Rafferty[/name] I like. I picture a put-together, a bit zany, hard working man with the name [name]Rafferty[/name]. I am still cheering on [name]Crew[/name] for you.
[name]Shea[/name]. [name]Rafferty[/name] is too trendy, it seems to be the new [name]Quinn[/name] or [name]Riley[/name] or something. [name]Shea[/name] is both solid and mischievous to me. And definitely masculine!
[name]Shea[/name] is my #1 name so I’m biased
I love [name]Shea[/name] because it feels like the perfect water baby name (I grew up in a beach town). [name]Shea[/name] is a laid-back, handsome, outdoorsy, eclectic, artistic type of guy.
[name]Rafferty[/name] feels clunky and trendy. It has a preppy vibe since it’s a surname. I love the nn Raffa “raw-fa”; it’s not the same pronunciation as the beginning of [name]Rafferty[/name] but it could still work
I prefer [name]Shea[/name]. I agree with nat108’s description of him as well!
I just can’t picture a [name]Rafferty[/name].
[name]Rafferty[/name] is a handsome name!
