Which of these names do you like best and why? a bit longer of a list.

Besides [name]Claire[/name], which we will probably use first if we have a girl, I can’t seem to figure out which names I like best. I know, it’s not necessary to narrow down right now, as I’m not even expecting yet,(we are TTC for 5 months now) but I can’t help but think about it. Sometimes I think, “what if I have twin girls?” I know, not a huge chance, but it still crosses my mind. (twins are on both sides, mine and hubby’s though. not sure how all that works.)

So I guess I’d just like some outside opinions on all these names we have listed. I guess it would help me as I wait very anxiously for a second little one. I’d really appreciate feedback on each name if you have time. I know it’s a bit on the long side. I just feel really stuck.
In no specific order and with some thoughts on each.

[name]Julia[/name]- This was my top pick for if our son was a girl. I still love it but feel maybe I’d pick something else now? not sure

[name]Anneliese[/name]- This is my husband’s favorite right now. He seems to really love it. I would say I just like it right now.

[name]Elena[/name]- This was our second choice if our son was a girl, mostly my husband’s though. It was his favorite for a long time. Now he prefers [name]Anneliese[/name] first I think, but I think he prefers [name]Elena[/name] over [name]Julia[/name].

[name]Zoe[/name]- This one seems somewhat out of place with the rest of my girls names but I do think goes great with our son’s name, [name]Cuyler[/name]. Cuy and [name]Zoe[/name] sound cute. I’m not sure I’d put it before [name]Claire[/name] though.([name]Claire[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] for twins? )

[name]Meredith[/name]- I’ve always been drawn to this name and DH likes it too so I added it. I would nn her [name]Mera[/name]/[name]Mara[/name].

[name]Eliza[/name]- This was a name DH always brought up when we talked about names in our first years of marriage before kids. I always vetoed it instantly. Now I like it but not sure if I like it enough to use it before some of my others.

[name]Madeleine[/name]- DH and I liked [name]Madelyn[/name] for a long time and it was a choice with our first child([name]Julia[/name], [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Madelyn[/name]) We eventually dropped this one but we both still like although with the original spelling. Right now I have it as a middle name but would consider it as a first I think.

I think they are all beautiful - you couldn’t go wrong with any of those choices. [name]Julia[/name] is such a classic, and reminds me of the [name]Roman[/name] patrician ladies; [name]Anneliese[/name] is sweet; [name]Elena[/name] is stunning; [name]Zoe[/name] is spunky; [name]Eliza[/name] is another classic; [name]Madeleine[/name] is a beautiful, historic French name. However, if I had to choose one, I would go with [name]Meredith[/name]. They are all just gorgeous, but [name]Meredith[/name] is by far the most uncommon. I haven’t ever met anyone with the name, and though it’s a classic, I don’t know anyone who has given that name to a child. [name]Anneliese[/name], [name]Zoe[/name], [name]Eliza[/name], and [name]Madeleine[/name] are so common among people I know - [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Elena[/name] are a bit less common, and my second and third choices (in that order), but [name]Meredith[/name] just brings with it the glamour of a past era. I imagine Edwardian glam when I think of [name]Meredith[/name].

I love [name]Madeleine[/name], [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Julia[/name]. I like [name]Elena[/name] and [name]Meredith[/name] too.

I love [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Meredith[/name], [name]Madeleine[/name], and [name]Julia[/name]. I’d have to say [name]Eliza[/name] is my absolute favorite of those. [name]Meredith[/name] is a great name as well. I love [name]Madeleine[/name], it’s my nieces name. And I’m not sure if you’ve read the novel “The [name]Story[/name] of Beautiful Girl” but [name]Julia[/name] is one of the main characters in the book, and that will always be my favorite novel. I cried and laughed for like 20 minutes once I finished it. Haha. So yeah I think [name]Julia[/name] is really cute.

I vote [name]Julia[/name].

I just go back and forth on which are my favorites. I really like them all a lot so it’s difficult to decide. I guess [name]Julia[/name] is still probably 2nd but [name]Meredith[/name] and [name]Zoe[/name] seem to be moving up and I find myself thinking about those two more and more. While I really like [name]Anneliese[/name] and [name]Elena[/name](my husbands favorites) I think I’m more in love the with the whole combination of the names together vs. just [name]Anneliese[/name] and [name]Elena[/name]. It might be that way for [name]Eliza[/name] as well, I love the combination and not just the first name.
