i love [name_f]Edna[/name_f] the best. Though [name_f]Enid[/name_f] and [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] are close seconds.

Well, of these I have to pick [name_f]Edith[/name_f] ([name_f]Edie[/name_f]), but I do have a soft spot for [name_f]Enid[/name_f] too, so wanted vocalize some support for her too!

[name_f]Esther[/name_f] is so beautiful- a sweet yet strong and a softly faded classic with a solid history behind it. I honestly don’t think you can go wrong with her.

I think [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] would be gorgeous! I like [name_f]Enid[/name_f] too :).

[name_f]Edith[/name_f] & [name_f]Esther[/name_f] are both such soft, sweet, yet strong, no-frills classics. Both get my vote!

I feel unsure about [name_f]Ethel[/name_f]. This is one of those names, like [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] for boys, that has always struck me as having an ugly sound when spoken in anything but the most loving whisper.

[name_u]Love[/name_u]'em all!

When I was very small and watched I [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] I thought [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] was THE most beautiful name in the world.

Of course I pronounced it Essel!

My favourites is [name_f]Esther[/name_f], then [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Enid[/name_f]'s next and then [name_f]Edna[/name_f] & [name_f]Ethel[/name_f], which I think are not yet ready for a comeback. [name_f]Enid[/name_f] feels more retro than vintage to me, I think it’s choice for the bold parents, [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is a name that is currently coming back, it’s not yet a “mainstream” vintage choice à la [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_f]Olive[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] but [name_f]Edie[/name_f] makes it more approachable. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a bit of a classic to me, it certainly has vintage charm, which is brought out when paired with other vintage/classic names such as [name_f]Violet[/name_f], [name_m]George[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]; but it also has a biblical vibe to it (which I would try to avoid as then it seems a bit heavy) when paired with names such as [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] & [name_f]Abigail[/name_f].

[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]! [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] would be my second choice.

[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is perfection in my eyes- it combines 2 of my absolute favorite names!

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Enid[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] ^^

Voted for [name_f]Edith[/name_f] because she sounds the best with my beloved [name_f]Maud[/name_f] in the middle… I’m not fond of [name_f]Matilda[/name_f].

The results of the poll so far really haven’t surprised me at all. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] running ahead and [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] being shown no love. Keep the votes coming and thank you for all your comments too!

[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] is just gorgeous.

I was so torn between [name_f]Edith[/name_f] and [name_f]Enid[/name_f]!

I love love love [name_f]Enid[/name_f], mainly because of the outspoken, cynical character from the 2001 film Ghost World. (My favorite) Also it’s rare but not outlandish. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is a close second. The rest I don’t care for.

[name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] sounds gorgeous.

I agree that [name_f]Enid[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is lovely. I also have a soft spot for [name_f]Enid[/name_f]. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is gorgeous, too.

[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] would be so stunning!

[name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is lovely!

My vote went to [name_f]Esther[/name_f] as of the five, I feel it would work best on a modern person. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] comes in a very close second though, particularly with the nickame of [name_f]Edie[/name_f]. While I wish I loved [name_f]Ethel[/name_f] (it was my beloved grandmother’s name), I just can’t seem to muster up too much loved for it outside of it being said namesake. I do have a soft spot for [name_f]Enid[/name_f] (my favourite author as a child was [name_f]Enid[/name_f] Blyton) but again, as with [name_f]Ethel[/name_f], other than the special personal meaning, I’m not loving it. [name_f]Edna[/name_f] I find incredibly heavy and dated and I’m afraid I’m just not fan of it at all.

As for combos, I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f] or [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] work best in terms of flow.

[name_f]Esther[/name_f]. 100%. I don’t like any of the other even a little bit, and I like [name_f]Esther[/name_f] a lot!
