Hello. I am 35 weeks pregnant with my second child and first son. My husband and I have three names that we love but can’t decide on which one to use so we are hoping that you will help us. The names are: [name_u]Alfie[/name_u], [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. His big sister’s name is [name_f]Melanie[/name_f].
I’m not a fan of [name_u]Alfie[/name_u]. [name_u]Max[/name_u] and [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] are a bit matchy. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is great.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] has my vote.

Yep, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. I’m not a fan of siblings with the same initials. [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] is alright, but needs a formal name and I personally am not a fan of [name_m]Alfred[/name_m]. Maybe [name_m]Archer[/name_m], nn [name_m]Archie[/name_m]? [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] and [name_m]Archie[/name_m]?

[name_m]Just[/name_m] to add to the landslide: [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]! [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] are going to date as they’re hugely popular right now and they don’t have many nn options as they are already shortened so he’d be [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] B or whatever at school. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]'s a better name as it will grow with him.
I like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] the best with [name_f]Melanie[/name_f].

[name_u]Max[/name_u] is my favorite out of the three. I’m not a fan of sibling’s names starting with the same letter or anything though. So maybe [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] instead?
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m]! I think it goes best with [name_f]Melanie[/name_f]. [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] seem very nickname-y with [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] as a sister. I don’t like that [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] has the same ending and [name_u]Max[/name_u] starts with the same letter, but that’s just a personal pet peeve.
[name_u]Alfie[/name_u] I love, but would prefer [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] nicknamed to [name_u]Alfie[/name_u].
[name_u]Max[/name_u] is the name of a number of male students I could not abide.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is cute, if a bit [name_f]Sesame[/name_f] [name_m]Street[/name_m].
I think [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] is freshest and will wear well as a boy and adult name.

If not, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] would be my 2nd choice.

I agree, [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]! It’s quirky, fun, and with more history than people often think. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Alfie[/name_u], though I like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m]- nickname names aren’t for me. [name_u]Max[/name_u] is nice, I don’t think it’s matchy at all- other than the first letter it doesn’t have the same sounds as [name_f]Melanie[/name_f] at all! I don’t like [name_u]Max[/name_u] on its own, but [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m] nn [name_u]Max[/name_u] would be nice. And I love [name_f]Melanie[/name_f]- is she named after the character from Gone With the Wind? [name_f]Love[/name_f] her 
I like either [name_u]Max[/name_u] or [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] just is too sing-songy with [name_f]Melanie[/name_f]. You could do both names (one first, one middle).
