Which of these would you choose?

Hello Nameberries, baby surprise is due in [name]December[/name] and we don’t have a confirmed boy’s first name yet.

[name]Jameson[/name] (husband is [name]James[/name] - is this too much?)
[name]Davison[/name]
[name]Christopher[/name] ([name]Kit[/name])
[name]Callaghan[/name]
[name]Frederick[/name]
[name]Ferguson[/name]

Brother is [name]Alastair[/name], sisters are [name]Georgiana[/name] and [name]Lavinia[/name].

Any feedback welcomed, all are names from our family trees.

Your children’s names are regal, dignified and formal; none of them are surnames. I think the best fit for the first spot is [name]Frederick[/name] by far, even if some of the others are less common. [name]Alistair[/name] & [name]Frederick[/name] sound excellent as a pair of brothers. I quite like one of the surnames in the first middle spot, i.e. [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Callaghan[/name]. Since the other three children have monosyllabic second middles, perhaps [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Callaghan[/name] [name]James[/name] (to honor your husband)?

[name]Edit[/name]: whoops, just saw that [name]Alistair[/name] has [name]James[/name] already.

Perhaps [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Callaghan[/name] [name]Davis[/name]?

[name]Alastair[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name], and [name]Lavinia[/name] are lovely.

I love [name]Frederick[/name] from your list, but I agree that it sounds a little simple.

Have you considered [name]Seamus[/name] as a first or middle name to honor your husband? It’s the Irish form of [name]James[/name].

I think [name]Frederick[/name], [name]Jameson[/name], or [name]Callaghan[/name] sound best with the names of your other children.

First of all, your other kiddos names are stunning! Now, for this baby, I love [name]Fredrick[/name], [name]Christopher[/name], and [name]Callaghan[/name]. While I adore all three of those, I am thinking that [name]Callaghan[/name] goes best with [name]Alastair[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name], and [name]Lavinia[/name]. Best of luck, I am confident the new baby will be just as brilliantly named as his/her siblings!

I would choose [name]Jameson[/name] if you really like it. I actually don’t think the fact that your husbands name is [name]James[/name] makes this too much instead I think it makes it so very perfect since [name]Jameson[/name] means “son of [name]James[/name]”. I would [name]LOVE[/name] this.

[name]Christopher[/name] and [name]Ferguson[/name] would be my second choices.

[name]Jameson[/name] is a great name and fits your sibset.

I like [name]Frederick[/name] the best, with [name]Christopher[/name] coming in second.

I wouldn’t use [name]Jameson[/name] since your son already has [name]James[/name] as a middle name.

I think [name]Ferguson[/name] is the best match with your other kids’ names – classic, but different, and with that “upper crust” feel. Maybe [name]Ferguson[/name] [name]Christopher[/name]? I also like pp’s suggestion of [name]Ferdinand[/name], but still prefer [name]Ferguson[/name] with [name]Frederick[/name] as my second choice. I just can’t help but feel that [name]Frederick[/name] (as much as I love this name!) sounds a little plain next to your other kids’ names – something [name]Ferguson[/name] and [name]Ferdinand[/name] could never even come close to!

Mmm [name]Ferdinand[/name]! [name]Love[/name] that.
Another vote for [name]Frederick[/name]. Great with [name]Alastair[/name], [name]Georgiana[/name] and [name]Lavinia[/name]. All the other options feel a little too rugged next to the bookish and refined [name]Alastair[/name].
[name]Frederick[/name] [name]Jacob[/name] [name]Ferguson[/name], [name]Frederick[/name] [name]Cade[/name] [name]Callaghan[/name], [name]Ferdinand[/name] [name]Christoph[/name] [name]Rex[/name]
