Im am hestiant to sat this in a public forum;), bit i am rather rare in not liking [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] in any form. I don’t hate it and i really would never not respect and encourage you to use your loved name as I hope we all do encourage each other, unless there is a reason to show a drawback. Sorry very long winded -I feeel quilty and Beatric/x may even be the best fit with [name_f]Matilda[/name_f], beautiful angel baby.
I want to just put in a good word for the ever classic and lovely [name_f]Eleanore[/name_f] and also [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] which I was not fond as a young person with [name_u]Penny[/name_u] nn, but since thinking [name_f]Nella[/name_f] nn and others, [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is getting right up there with the lovely [name_f]Calliope[/name_f] for me but it has been used much more in Anglo communities and recognisable, i think… Best wishes.

[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] gets my vote!

They all fit okay, but I’d say [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is a shade plainer than [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is a bit girlier. So [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is the best fit, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]–same fantastic blend of quirk, strength, and femininity.

I think both [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] work wonderfully. I agree that [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is plainer–not quite quirky enough.

Wow, such a lovely list! I have both [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] on my list, so I guess it gets my vote  I think [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] (while absolutely gorgeous) and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (again, stunning) are great names, they don’t have the same fit and feel as [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is definitely the odd one out, as I always classify it less as classic, but more along the vein of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].

I would go for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f],

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] brings the over used nn [name_f]Elle[/name_f]/[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Elsie[/name_f].
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] brings the nn [name_f]Bea[/name_f] / trixie, don’t like that and the name feels a little old fashiond.

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] feels like two sweet modern girls

[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] for me! I love both [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] (also [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], but I’m not a huge [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] fan), and while I like [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] more, I liked [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] better with [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are great together, but [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] didn’t work quite so well, for me. I think [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] are a great match.

Good luck!
