I’ll admit I had a hard time choosing between [name_m]Othello[/name_m] [name_u]Bentley[/name_u] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] and [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_m]Quill[/name_m]. Both are beautiful, polished combos with a sense of adventure. In the end I voted for [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] but you can’t go wrong with either!
Haha, I understand - they are my top two combinations. [name_u]Love[/name_u] them so much! The idea of brothers [name_m]Otto[/name_m] and [name_m]Pip[/name_m] makes me so happy! Literally said to hubby the other day “maybe we should have a boy… so we can at least use one of these” haha - I have been very “girls only” up until then lol
I’m actually really drawn to [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] [name_u]Aurel[/name_u] [name_f]Lark[/name_f], although I might prefer [name_f]Auriel[/name_f] over [name_u]Aurel[/name_u] the middle because a) it’s more familiar to me; b) it mixes up the syllable lengths a bit; and c) it’s further from “oral”. But I love crisp, cool classic [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] and the dashing feel I get from this combo.
My next favourites are [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_m]Quill[/name_m] (very “birdy” but a big YES to [name_m]Pip[/name_m]!) and [name_m]Bowen[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] [name_u]Oak[/name_u] (very “tree-ey” but undeniably cool).
I also adore [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_m]Otto[/name_m]. You have a fabulous, fascinating style!
Yeah, I am aware of the “oral” sound in [name_u]Aurel[/name_u]… it does annoy me a little, but the name is just so charming. [name_f]Auriel[/name_f] is a good suggestion though. I might try it our for a bit and see how it looks. It is a good compromise between [name_u]Aurel[/name_u] and [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m].
[name_m]Vincent[/name_m] is so sweet and charming, I agree. I feel like it is such a different style to all our other favourites, but neither of us wants to let it go haha.
Haha I had not thought of the [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] combo being overly “birdy”, but I see what you mean given [name_m]Quill[/name_m] has many meanings. The name comes from old Gaelic and means “hazel bush” which is why I didn’t make the bird connection until now. We liked [name_m]Quill[/name_m] as an alternative, more masculine nature name.
[name_m]Bowen[/name_m] is a bit the same, I guess. [name_m]Bow[/name_m]- could give some a tree vibe, even though that is not the meaning.
Aww thanks. We like to be different. I have always appreciated your names too.
Interesting to see [name_m]Atlas[/name_m] as the popularity front-running at the moment! Though, it has been popping up more and more on NB recently. Maybe it is just the NB buzz name at the moment.
