I think [name]Aurelie[/name] is pretty, and I don’t care for [name]Emery[/name] at all. Had a student named [name]Emory[/name] with all kinds of problems, plus it makes me think of an emory board in addition to sounding masculine to me.
Thanks! I love [name]Aurelie[/name]. I’ve been trying to get him to love it as much as he loves [name]Emery[/name] but he can be so stubborn sometimes. His brother said the same thing about [name]Emery[/name] with reminding him of an emory board lol. I think it sounds more feminine than masculine but I can’t help and think that it’s becoming increasing popular lately.
Thank you again.
I love [name]Aurelie[/name], it’s actually on my list as well. Usually I would really detest the double A’s but since the sound is different, I think it works beautifully. The only thing is probably be prepared for mispronunciation and spelling issues, unless the name is popular where you live. I’m not fond of [name]Emery[/name] at all. It’s actually a last name of a person I know, so I have a hard time seeing it as a fn. GL!
I absolutely adore Aurélie! If [name]Arianne[/name] wasn’t my second pick for a girl, I am sure I’d try to fit either Aurélie or [name]Aurelia[/name] on my short list with the nn [name]Ari[/name]. Aurélie [name]Antoinette[/name] is just stunning!
Aurélie by a landslide.
[name]Aurelie[/name].
This was on the girls name list for me. [name]Emery[/name] sounds more masculine to me. Good luck!
I agree with previous posters that [name]Emery[/name] has a more masculine feel to it–but I do like it. I do prefer [name]Aurelie[/name]–however, you’re constantly going to have to be telling people how to pronounce it!
Thank you everyone! He has finally agreed with me and we decided to go with Aurélie over [name]Emery[/name]. The more he says her full name the less he likes [name]Emery[/name] so it worked out perfect. Thanks again!
Yay! I’m so happy to hear this, I think Aurélie is just stunning.
Awwww . . . I love the name [name]Emery[/name].
I love [name]Aurelie[/name]! However, it may not be a bad idea to prepare yourself for people saying “orally” and the potential that may have for teasing later on.
