[name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_m]Samson[/name_m], [name_u]Max[/name_u], or [name_u]Owen[/name_u]?
Our last name is [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] and hubby only likes super traditional names. I’m hoping to strike a compromise with a traditional name, but one that isn’t so popular that our son has classmates with the same moniker.
[name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - hubs likes [name_m]Levi[/name_m]. I don’t hate it, but it’s gaining in popularity.
[name_m]Samson[/name_m] “[name_u]Sam[/name_u]” [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - worried about the double -son, but prefer [name_m]Samson[/name_m] to [name_m]Samuel[/name_m].
[name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - not short for anything. [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_u]Max[/name_u]. This has been my pick for a while, but again, worried too popular.
[name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] - again, I don’t hate it.
I’m not due until [name_u]June[/name_u], but I’d love to start referring to baby as a name rather than baby. Thoughts? What’s your favorite?
Thanks! Between last night and tonight he’s already decided he doesn’t like [name_m]Samson[/name_m] (a name he suggested)! So this process is going to be really interesting!
My favorite is probably [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m], although I also like [name_m]Levi[/name_m] a lot! I love the name [name_u]Owen[/name_u], but [name_u]Owen[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] is a lot of n sounds, which I don’t love.
I like [name_u]Owen[/name_u]. It works well with the last name - a good balance. I think [name_m]Levi[/name_m] is a great name - just getting way too popular lately.
Thanks so much, everyone, for your awesome picks and suggestions! I read the new suggestions to my husband and he only liked [name_m]Jack[/name_m] and maybe [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. He is that difficult!
Our two top picks right now are [name_m]Levi[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Anderson[/name_m]. He also really likes [name_u]James[/name_u] for a first name, but I have a friend who has been waiting to use [name_u]James[/name_u] for her little boy if she ever has one. I think she claimed [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] as well! I’d better check with her.
I adore [name_u]Owen[/name_u]. My brother’s name is owen and he is such a kind gentle person. I used to like [name_m]Levi[/name_m] but think it is becoming way to popular now. [name_u]Sam[/name_u] and [name_u]Max[/name_u] are very common where I live so I personally don’t like them. Maybe you couldtry a traditional name but use a nickname. Personally I like:
[name_m]Aaron[/name_m] ("[name_u]Ari[/name_u]" for short I adore this nn)
[name_m]David[/name_m] /daniel “[name_u]Dai[/name_u]/day”
[name_m]William[/name_m]-"will/liam/lee
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]-“teddy”
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] -“ollie”
Good luck with naming your little boy!
