We have 3 nicknames narrowed down from the name we have chosen to call our girl and can’t seem to decide on which one. I think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] is rising in the polls now and both the other names are pretty common. We are just going for the cute factor. Our last girl is called [name_f]Attie[/name_f]…actually we call her [name_f]Attie[/name_f]- [name_u]Rue[/name_u].
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] is the name we are choosing for this new girls middle.
The nick-names are…
[name_f]Ella[/name_f]
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]
and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]
I like [name_f]Thea[/name_f] because it’s familiar but not nearly as common as [name_f]Ella[/name_f] and [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]. My second choice would be [name_f]Ella[/name_f] to have a different ending sound than [name_f]Attie[/name_f].
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Attie[/name_f] are so cute as a sibset.
[name_f]Attie[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f] or [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] make [name_f]Attie[/name_f] seem like the cool name in my opinion!
[name_f]Thea[/name_f] is my first preference; [name_f]Ella[/name_f] is also nice. You could call [name_f]Ella[/name_f] ‘[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]’, so for me it’s really [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f]
Another vote for [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. As others have said, you could get two birds with one stone with [name_f]Ella[/name_f] nicknamed [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] (plus there’s the association with the movie Up). But [name_f]Thea[/name_f] goes better with [name_f]Attie[/name_f] IMHO.
