[name_m]Hi[/name_m] everyone, I’m sorry I’ve posted before but I find the feedback on here so helpful and as I’m close to my due date now I just want to be be totally sure I did as much research as I could.
For baby boy number 3 we’re dithering between [name_m]Leon[/name_m], [name_u]Luca[/name_u] & [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. Middle name possibly ‘Hay’, which is a family name. I can’t decide which name flows best sibset wise - Possibly [name_m]Leo[/name_m] but out of the 3 that’s the one I’m more unsure of (depite it being lovely) due to its popularity. So really I think it’s a tough call between [name_m]Leon[/name_m] & [name_u]Luca[/name_u]?
I really like them both and on some days lean towards one and then back to the other. [name_m]Ah[/name_m]… would love to hear your thoughts x
I really like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] with [name_m]Fin[/name_m] and [name_u]Parker[/name_u].
I feel as if both [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] are similarly high in popularity. Whereas, [name_m]Leon[/name_m] is less common.
I could also see [name_m]Leon[/name_m] being used, and giving him the nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m]… the only thing is, [name_u]Parker[/name_u] will be the only one without a nn.
You can’t go wrong with any of them as they are all great in your sibset so if there is one that you tend to love even a little more, it is the one for you. I also think the name [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] would be great, just to throw another thing to think about into the mix, haha. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it would be helpful to decide when you meet your new little guy? FWIW, my personal favourites are [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u] but they all work nicely.
I know, I feel like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] goes really well with them. In the UK [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is in the top 60 but [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is in the top 10 although that could change obviously. I do like how with [name_m]Leon[/name_m] you could use [name_m]Leo[/name_m] as a nickname though… but my husband doesn’t agree and thinks we should use one or the other.
I agree that it might come down to deciding once he’s actually here and seeing which name he looks a bit more like But thank you for saying they all go, as I worry a tiny bit that [name_u]Luca[/name_u] doesn’t go as well as the other two. Also great suggestion about [name_m]Hayes[/name_m], I’d forgotten about that one.
To me it would be a close one between [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. Have you thought about [name_u]Lionel[/name_u] or [name_m]Leonel[/name_m]? We are considering the latter ones for our boy
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] is my strong favourite and I like it best with the siblings. [name_m]Leon[/name_m] is 2nd choice. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] seems the odd one out with your family to me.
I very much prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u], to [name_m]Leon[/name_m], however, with your [name_u]Parker[/name_u], I think I prefer [name_m]Leon[/name_m] flow-wise due to the similar repeated endings of [name_u]Luca[/name_u] & [name_u]Parker[/name_u] (more-so similar in my Australian accent, mind you). I also think [name_m]Leon[/name_m] Hay flows better as a first and middle.
So ultimately, while I do prefer [name_u]Luca[/name_u] (& [name_m]Leo[/name_m] for that matter) individually myself, for you I vote [name_m]Leon[/name_m] Hay, as it just fits best in my eyes.
I have a [name_u]Finn[/name_u] and a [name_m]Leo[/name_m] and love them together. I’ve gotten so many compliments as well! So that gets my (biased) vote!
My faves are [name_m]Leon[/name_m] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m].
[name_m]Leon[/name_m] - a slightly moody, handsome and mature name, great for entire life, can have [name_m]Leo[/name_m] as nn, flows well to Hay/[name_m]Hayes[/name_m].
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] - more pluckish and fun like your other boys but popular (if that matters) and means all have own endings. [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] might be better.
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] - no! In English speaking context it’s childish and trendy (like [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lulu[/name_f]) imo and it won’t age as well as your others. Plus it doesn’t flow well to Hay like the others, esp [name_m]Leon[/name_m].
Argh I agree with your crtitic on the name [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. Funnily enough it’s been on our list all 3 times but we’ve never ended up using it… I also don’t know if it flows as well with [name_m]Fin[/name_m] & [name_u]Parker[/name_u]? The middle name is also tricky as we’re struggling to find a one syllable one that suits it.
My reservations with [name_m]Leon[/name_m] (which is a great name) is I’m not sure I like it quite as much as [name_m]Leo[/name_m], but with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] I’m not a fan of how popular it is… so we end up back at [name_u]Luca[/name_u].
However, [name_m]Leon[/name_m] might grown on me more and I love your description of it too
