We have three girls names picked which one do you like best with our other three girls??
Our three girls are:
[name]Madelyn[/name] [name]Jo[/name]
[name]Alayna[/name] [name]Grey[/name]
[name]Clayre[/name] [name]Rylee[/name]
Our top three picks are:
[name]Ally[/name] [name]Rae[/name]
[name]Alyse[/name] [name]Lee[/name] (middle name for [name]Alyse[/name] is not set, it needs to be gender neutral like the rest of our middles, [name]Lee[/name] is my middle
just not sure I love it with [name]Alyse[/name])
[name]Kirstyn[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
I’m not too fond of any of them, but [name]Ally[/name] [name]Rae[/name] would get my vote. I’d much prefer to see something like [name]Allegra[/name] or [name]Alexandra[/name] with [name]Ally[/name] as nickname though. I like [name]Lee[/name] best of the three middles.
I think that, in already having an [name]Alayna[/name], you’d be best to steer clear of another [name]Al[/name]- name though, as it would be super repetitive and somewhat of a tongue-twister.
I don’t care for any of them either, but I think [name]Ally[/name] and [name]Alayna[/name] might be too close. [name]How[/name] about [name]Arya[/name] [name]Lee[/name]?
I like [name]Kirstyn[/name] [name]Reese[/name] or [name]Alys[/name] [name]Lee[/name]. Or [name]Alys[/name] [name]Reese[/name]. Like rollo, I prefer the [name]Alys[/name] spelling if you are going for the “[name]Alice[/name]” pronunciation. If you want the “[name]Elise[/name]” pronunciation, perhaps [name]Elyse[/name]? With [name]Alyse[/name] I’m not sure if it’s [name]Al[/name]-is or [name]Al[/name]-ees.
I would pick [name]Alyse[/name]. It sounds more timeless to me, which I think fits better with your other girls’ names. [name]Kirstyn[/name] feels more dated to me because I knew so many Kirstens and Kristys growing up. [name]Ally[/name] is cute, but it sounds like a nn, and your other girls have longer names, so that one doesn’t fit as well. [name]How[/name] about [name]Finn[/name] ([name]Fynn[/name]) or [name]Brynn[/name] for a middle name?
I also don’t care for any them (at least not with the “y” spellings), but if I had to choose one, I’d say [name]Ally[/name] [name]Rae[/name]. “[name]Ally[/name]” does sound like a nickname though. She may often be asked what her full name is.
All those y’s and you abandon it to spell [name]Rhys[/name] as [name]Reese[/name]? Why? I would go [name]Kirsten[/name] [name]Rhys[/name], it holds your y theme and is unexpected.
Is [name]Alyse[/name] said “[name]AL[/name]-iss” or “a-[name]LEESE[/name]?”
Have you considered [name]Kathryn[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]?
Not keen on the [name]Rhys[/name] spelling suggestion. I know [name]Reese[/name] is unisex, but the [name]Rhys[/name] spelling to me is a Welsh boy’s name and it looks wrong as a girl’s name. It just makes me go, “Nooooo, don’t give another boy’s name to the girls!”
I like [name]Rae[/name] and [name]Lee[/name] as middles, I like [name]Ally[/name] but maybe not with [name]Rae[/name] good luck, your girls all have lovely unique names!
To me [name]Reese[/name] is just mispelled [name]Rhys[/name]. I prefer [name]Rhys[/name] for boys too, but all her other names were customized to fit more y’s in, so I didn’t really get going to the effort of picking a non-traditional spelling to take a y out?
Thanks for your input. Still not in love with any of the names, love the suggestion of [name]Kathryn[/name] [name]Rhys[/name] but HATE the nn [name]Katie[/name] and [name]Kate[/name]. I know at some point that is what someone would start calling her and I would not be able to stop it
I knew a [name]Kathryn[/name] who only ever went by [name]Kathryn[/name] but your daughter could go by her middle name of [name]Rhys[/name] if she became fed up with someone calling her [name]Katie[/name] and only family and close friends would still call her [name]Kathryn[/name] (I did this).
[name]Rollo[/name], good point but I know from 13 years of teaching that she may decide that she likes kate or katie and I would then have no control over what she is called if I just disliked [name]Katie[/name] it may be ok but I just HATE the sound of it. It would be like nails on a chalk board every time someone tried to call her that. My oldest is [name]Madelyn[/name] and we thougth we would use [name]Mady[/name] as a nn when we named her…we never have but others have tried…she prefers [name]Madelyn[/name] and since the age of 3 she has corrected those who try to call her [name]Mady[/name] with a polite “My name is [name]Madelyn[/name].” In her case although we don’t use a nn at least I don’t hate it when they do.
