I love [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Alasdaire[/name_m] and I think it’s a perfect match with your son’s name! [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is a close second.
I love a lot of those names, although I think with your son’s name, [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] or [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m] fit nicely.
From your list I like [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Alasdaire[/name_m], [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Claiborne[/name_m].
I voted for [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] but I think most of these are superb! [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Alasdaire[/name_m] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m] in particular.
@gia.berry, I really like [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m], [name_m]Hamish[/name_m], [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], and [name_m]Hawthorn/name_m! Thanks for the ideas!
I voted for [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], but really it was a toss up between that and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m].
Your son’s name is fabulous. For his brother I love [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m].
F0rd3 C@ll0w@y is a lovely name! It has an excellent balance of softness and strength, which most of your [name_u]Finley[/name_u] combos achieve as well. To narrow it down, since F0rd3, C@ll0w@y, and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] are all surnames, I’d lean towards another surname-y middle. [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] seems like the perfect match!
Thanks @wandsworth and @seanachaidh! I love [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m], but I kind of feel like it’s an “expected” sort of combo? Wdyt?
@eloiset I like those as firsts, too, but [name_m]Alasdaire[/name_m] and [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m] feel a bit heavy with F0rde to me, and our surname starts with S-, so [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] runs into it a bit imo
I’m honestly not really surprised to see that Perhonen isn’t getting a lot of love, but I am curious what people think of it? It’s pronounced pair-oh-[name_m]NEN[/name_m](I think); it is a Finnish name meaning butterfly.
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Alasdaire[/name_m], with [name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] a close second.
As for Perhonen - I actually really like it, but it would need to grow on me and become more familiar before I could actually see it fitting in a combo, if that makes sense. [name_u]Finley[/name_u] Perhonen sounds great so I like this one too ”
I don’t really see any of your combos as too expected, although [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] is one of the more common names on your list, so it might look that way in comparison. If you want to get a little more obscure, then my second choice would have been [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m].
I actually looked up Perhonen and the meaning is sweet. I had been pronouncing it as “per-HO-nen,” which I didn’t care for, but it sounds more like “PAIR-ho-nen,” so not that dissimilar from [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]!
Thx @morning_glory! I def see what you mean! @seanachaidh thx for the insight on [name_m]Shepherd[/name_m] & Perhonen! @eloiset, glad to see at least a couple of people are liking it! Makes me feel a little less crazy haha
[name_u]Finley[/name_u] [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]! [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is a dashing name and I think it’s a very handsome sounding middle for [name_u]Finley[/name_u]
