I voted [name]Phoenix[/name] [name]John[/name]. I think [name]Phoenix[/name] [name]Jay[/name] is a bit overkill as they are both birds.
I also like to temper unusual names with a traditional standard, just to show I’m not completely dead set on being trendy (as if that matters!).

I agree that using a traditional mn helps to balance things out [name]John[/name] is my boyfriend’s fn and I really don’t like naming kids directly after someone only because I just prefer to give babies their own names. But using a person’s fn as my child’s mn I can deal with. [name]Jay[/name] is also a way of naming the baby (future baby) after [name]John[/name], too because that’s his nn.
