I’m in the process of writing a fantasy novel and I’m having troubles naming the princess character. Please, tell me which of these names you like to help me narrow it down.
I like the idea of [name_f]Milena[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f]. The repeating “a” at the end of a lot of these combos is a little off putting (imo). I could see [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Milena[/name_f], and [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] as princess names for a book but with non “a” ending middles. Good luck!
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] - this sounds like a fun princess in a kids book.
[name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] - this sounds like a serious princess who’s going to get into serious business.
[name_f]Milena[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] - this sounds very much like a fantasy princess. I can see her being surrounded by magic.
[name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] [name_f]Zaina[/name_f] - this sounds like a light-hearted princess, who’s quite young. Maybe with serious parents.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] - this sounds like an emotional princess who’s very dramatic
[name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] [name_f]Augustina[/name_f] - this sounds like a sci-fi princess or maybe steampunk.
My favorite is [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] but I also like [name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] and [name_f]Milena[/name_f] a lot.
These 2 don’t sound like “princess” names to me. They are pretty, but not as sophisticated as the others.
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Isabela[/name_f]
[name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Mireia[/name_f]
My favorite for a princess character is absolutely, 100%, [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] Agustina. It flows nicely and sounds like it would belong to some beautiful royal girl in a fantasy land. The rest of the names are lovely as well but they are all a bit too ‘real’ to belong to a fantasy princess. [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] is relatively uncommon/rare- I’ve only known 1 my whole life- and it does have a fantasy-like quality to it.
[name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f] [name_f]Mireia[/name_f] is beautiful but hard to spell.
[name_f]Alessandra[/name_f] is such a strong name already. The extremely bold [name_f]Zaina[/name_f] is too harsh, imo.
[name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is a little bit too pedestrian.
[name_f]Savannah[/name_f] [name_f]Isabela[/name_f] is less pedestrian, but it doesn’t state “princess” very clearly.
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Philomena[/name_f] is too rhyme-y, sounds comical.
I like [name_f]Octavia[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f], [name_f]Milena[/name_f] [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], & [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] [name_f]Augustina[/name_f]. (However, I probably like [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] more.) Those are my votes! I would love to read a book about [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Octavia[/name_f], [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Milena[/name_f], or [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f]!
