Ok, after weeks of obsessing-I think we’ve decided on using “[name]Rose[/name]” for our second daughter’s name. I like the name [name]Rose[/name] and especially the nn. “[name]Rosie[/name]”
I’ve ruled out “Roselei”-b/c of Twilight. (someone told me that was the heroine’s name?
I like Rosamaria (too singsongy?)
I don’t like Rosabella-Too many ‘bella’ names where we live. ([name]Atlanta[/name], [name]Georgia[/name])
I like Annarosa?
Oh, my name is [name]Christina[/name], husband’s is [name]Kyle[/name] and our daughter’s name is [name]Catherine[/name] Annalis (nn [name]Cate[/name])
I think that [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Rosalind[/name] sound very nice together, but that has more of a [name]ROZ[/name] sound, so I would choose my favorite [name]Rose[/name] name, [name]Rosaleen[/name]. I am not a huge fan of [name]Rosemary[/name].
With sister [name]Catherine[/name] I vote for, in order:
[name]Rosemary[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
[name]Rosalind[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
[name]Rosalia[/name] [name]Willow[/name]
[name]Cate[/name] and [name]Rosie[/name] are adorable sisters!
[name]Rose[/name], just simple, elegant [name]Rose[/name], is one of my favorite first names in the world! Yes, [name]Rosalie[/name] is a Twilight name (I’ve not read the books, though), but I still think it’s beautiful, too.
I also love:
[name]Rosabelle[/name]/Rosabel (less frilly than Rosabella, especially with Rosabel)
[name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Rosemary[/name]
I think that your Rosamaria and Annarosa are very pretty, but with the classic [name]Catherine[/name], I guess I can better see [name]Rose[/name], [name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Rosaline[/name], Rosabel, or [name]Rosemary[/name].
My husband likes [name]Rosalind[/name]-isn’t that from [name]Shakespeare[/name]?-I too am not fond of [name]Rosemary[/name]. I do like [name]Rosemarie[/name] though.
I like the idea of [name]Cate[/name] and [name]Rosey[/name] together too-I forgot to mention that my husband and daughter look very Scottish-ruddy red hair and red rosy cheeks and sky blue eyes. So, I think [name]Rosey[/name] will be especially cute if she is 'rosey." Though, I have olive skin so who knows.
Whoops! I didn’t realize that your last name is [name]Wade[/name]. (I apologize for not reading the posts carefully.) In that case, I’d personally go with a longer version of [name]Rose[/name]. I love so many of the [name]Rose[/name] names!
I think it’s very pretty, but like you said, there are a lot of Bellas out there, a lot of them nicknamed [name]Bella[/name] for [name]Isabella[/name] (#2 in popularity). That said, you’ll be calling her [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Rosey[/name], which I think is so refreshing to hear. (I love [name]Rose[/name] names!)
I bet a little girl would love to be named Bellarosa, but part of me wonders if Bellarosa is too frilly next to the more traditional [name]Catherine[/name] (which I love, by the way).
[name]Do[/name] you like Rosabel/[name]Rosabelle[/name], or are you looking for a [name]Bella[/name] name?
I can’t recall, but has [name]Rosalba[/name] already been suggested?
[name]Rosalie[/name] isn’t the main character in Twilight. I don’t think that has ruined the name, but I could be wrong. It is still my favorite [name]Rose[/name] variation, and I don’t even like the books. I also really like [name]Rosemary[/name] and [name]Rose[/name], and to a lesser extent [name]Rosalind[/name], [name]Rosario[/name], [name]Rosalia[/name], and [name]Rosetta[/name]. None of the other variations really stand out to me.
