[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] or [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]?
[name_f]Emaline[/name_f], [name_f]Emeline[/name_f], [name_f]Emiline[/name_f], [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Emmiline[/name_f]?
[name_f]Madaline[/name_f], [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], or [name_f]Madoline[/name_f]?
Also if you prefer any other spelling variations of the names (like I know [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] has more variations) then include that in your opinion too.
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f]. I think this spelling could get me past seeing [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] as [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] minus the M, which is my main hang up regarding an otherwise nice name.
[name_f]Emeline[/name_f].
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], though I kind of like [name_f]Madelaine[/name_f], too.
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]: This spelling would lead me to believe the pronunciation is “Aa-duh-line” or “Aa-duh-leen.” If it was spelled [name_f]Adaline[/name_f], I would pronounce it “A-dah-line” or “A-dah-leen.”
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]: This one just looks nicest to me.
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]: The [name_m]French[/name_m] spelling is my favorite for this name.
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] or [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] I would say these differently. The first one [name_m]Add[/name_m]-uh-[name_f]LINE[/name_f], the second add-uh-leen. I prefer the first.
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] ([name_f]Adele[/name_f] and [name_f]Adelina[/name_f] are similar names I also like), [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f], and [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (I also like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]).
[name_f]Adaline[/name_f] - This is my favorite because you can use the nickname [name_f]Ada[/name_f]. However if you dont like that nickname [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] looks prettier.
[name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] - I like this because it can be shortened to [name_f]Emma[/name_f] or [name_f]Em[/name_f].
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] - To me this spelling is the most common. So it will be easier for the child growing up.
I really like [name_f]Adaline[/name_f], because of the ‘[name_f]Ada[/name_f]’ beginning. The [name_f]Ada[/name_f] gives it a softer, vintage-y look while the [name_u]Ade[/name_u] makes it feel modern vogue.
I really like [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], but I think that is pronounced differently than what you are wanting. I like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] for the mad-eh-line prn. but [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] prn. mad-uh-layne is pretty too.
For [name_f]Em[/name_f] I am conflicted. I love the simplicity of [name_f]Emaline[/name_f] and the romantic air of [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]. [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] is very reminiscent of the Antebellum South. I would have to say that [name_f]Emaline[/name_f] is my most preferred out of the three.
