Which spelling? And...

Which spelling do you like more, [name]Cecilia[/name] or [name]Cecelia[/name]? Which one goes best with [name]Edward[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name] and and also, what do you think of the name?

And between [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name], which one is your favorite?

I have not-so-good associations with [name]Cecilia[/name], but prefer that spelling.

Now, on to [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name]. I think if you are in the UK, [name]Georgiana[/name] is the way to go. Very posh and I love the pronunciation. If you are in N. [name]America[/name] (as I am), then I think [name]Georgia[/name] is lovely, a bit better understood and received.

[name]Georgiana[/name] in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name] may be considered a bit much. In the UK, much more accepted. [name]Just[/name] my personal opinion, as I considered the name and my (British) husband and I had many conversations on the merits of both names here and across the pond.

Definitely [name]Cecilia[/name]. It’s the original spelling; [name]Cecelia[/name] was made up based on the name [name]Celia[/name] (unrelated to [name]Cecilia[/name]). Besides being the more legitimate spelling, I think it’s so much prettier and more streamlined. I really like the name, and I think it’s great with [name]Edward[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], and [name]Isaac[/name].

I’ve never been a fan of the [name]George[/name] names, but out [name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name], I prefer [name]Georgiana[/name] (though I think [name]Georgia[/name] might be a lot more familiar and easier to live with in the US).

I prefer [name]Cecilia[/name], as it looks more streamlined to me. [name]Edward[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Isaac[/name] and [name]Cecilia[/name] are lovely together!

For some reason I can’t get on board with the [name]George[/name] feminisations, but I think [name]Georgiana[/name] fits with the vintage style of your children’s names much better than the more commonplace [name]Georgia[/name]. I pronounce [name]Georgiana[/name] [name]GEORGE[/name]-ee-ah-na.

Good luck [name]Auburn[/name]

I think that with all of the other classic names,I would go for the classic spelling,[name]Cecilia[/name].

[name]Georgiana[/name] is one of my favorite names!

[name]Isabel[/name]

I prefer [name]Cecilia[/name]. [name]Lovely[/name] name!

I prefer [name]Georgiana[/name] over [name]Georgia[/name], and think that it goes better with your kids’ names.

Well, I pronounce the two differently, and I definitely prefer
[name]Cecelia[/name]. [name]Cecilia[/name] reminds me of cilia, which is an organelle in human bodies… So I’m not a fan of that one.
[name]Cecelia[/name] is very pretty and I think it goes great with [name]Adelaide[/name], [name]Isaac[/name], and [name]Edward[/name] (which are all great names, by the way).

I love the name [name]Georgia[/name], in fact it’s in my top 2. But how are you pronouncing [name]Georgiana[/name]? Is it jor-jee-ah-nuh, or jor-jay-nuh? I prefer the latter, and have a love for that name.
But either way, I love the name [name]Georgia[/name] the most.

Definitely, [name]Cecilia[/name]! It looks prettier on paper and is more stream-lined, as previous posters have said. It is also the original spelling. And it goes perfectly with [name]Edward[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name]!

As for [name]Georgia[/name]/[name]Georgiana[/name], I go with [name]Georgiana[/name] all the way. Not only does it have positive associations for me to Pride and Prejudice (one of my favorite books!), it also feels much more complete. [name]Georgia[/name] is pretty but reminds me strongly of the state. [name]Georgiana[/name] also goes much better with [name]Edward[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Isaac[/name]. [name]Georgia[/name] feels too bland and common with such strong (and beautiful!) names.

Good luck!

[name]Cecilia[/name] and [name]Georgiana[/name]… both are gorgeous (:
