I love the name [name]Henry[/name] pronounced HEHN-ree. Although I like the traditional spelling (henry) just fine, I’m also drawn to other variations. Which do you prefer?
[name]Henry[/name]
Henrie
Henrii
[name]Henri[/name]
I wouldn’t say [name]Henri[/name] the way you want it said, and the others look feminine to me, like possible NNs for [name]Henrietta[/name] or similar.
[name]Henry[/name] all the way.
[name]Henry[/name] if its a boy. Henrie if its a girl. Congratulations!
[name]Henry[/name]. Henrie and Henrii feel tacky and contrived. [name]Henri[/name] I would pronounce On-ree
Yeah, I much prefer the spelling ‘[name]Henry[/name]’ too.
I would say that if you want it to pronounced the French way as you indicated above, you should use the [name]Henri[/name] spelling (this is the French variation of the name).
If you want the English pronunciation – [name]Henry[/name]
If you want the French on-ree – [name]Henri[/name]
The others look a tad ridiculous, no offense intended.
I only like [name]Henry[/name].
Agreed. If you like [name]Henry[/name], I would just make it easier on your son and use the traditional spelling.
I prefer [name]Henry[/name]
I agree with the previous posters. [name]Henry[/name]= pronunciation you’re looking for. [name]Henri[/name]= French pronunciation. The other two look girlie and/or made-up.
[name]Henry[/name], hands down. Definetly not Henrii.
[name]Henry[/name]. [name]Do[/name] you really want him spelling his name for everyone ALL the time? TBH the others just look “yooneek”, and I’m not a fan of misspelled names 99% of the time.
Definitely [name]Henry[/name]!
I like the traditional [name]Henry[/name]. I’m not a big fan of spelling variations. It is too difficult on the child throughout life.
This. The others look too contrived and made up, Henrie would only work as a nickname to [name]Henrietta[/name] and Henrii just looks chavvy.
This exactly. I don’t care for Henrie and Henrii is unusable imo.
I prefer the traditional spelling, [name]Henry[/name].
