I love [name]Oona[/name]. [name]Una[/name] reminds me too much of the spanish number, or the game Uno.

[name]Una[/name], definitely. [name]Oona[/name] rubs me the wrong way for some reason; it seems like it would be a brand name for a snack bar.

The first time I ever read this name was in [name]Rainbow[/name] [name]Valley[/name] by L M. Mongomery~ [name]Anne[/name] book 7. [name]Una[/name] [name]Meredith[/name] is a very sweet lovely character. If I ever used this name (not likely), it would be to honor her. (More likely to have daughters [name]Anne[/name], [name]Marilla[/name], or [name]Diana[/name] or [name]Rachel[/name]! Also [name]Ilse[/name] and etc.!)
I don’t why some use the other spelling. It makes me think of the Addams Family. “They’re creepy and they’re kooky; they’re seriously spooky: they all together ooky- the Addams Family” I never watched that show, but I have heard the theme. All those words with the double o’s make me connect them to [name]Oona[/name]. Idk. I guess I just like the other spelling.

I’m of Irish heritage so [name]Oona[/name] is most intuitive for me.

[name]Una[/name]. It’s prettier, it’s in The Faerie Queene, and it’s the original Irish spelling as well.

[name]Oona[/name]!! So spunky and just pretty. I love double letters in names and am not a fan of the letter U so that’s probably why.

I prefer [name]Una[/name]. Whenever I see “oo-” at the beginning of a word, I think female reproductive system.

So happy to see [name]Una[/name]/[name]Oona[/name] being used!! [name]Oona[/name] is such a lovely name, especially to honor Irish heritage.

I prefer [name]Oona[/name]. I speak Spanish so [name]Una[/name] is very wordy to me.

[name]Oona[/name] for sure. When I saw [name]Una[/name], I pronounced it as [name]Yu[/name]-na in my head. That may just be me because I know quite a few little girls named [name]Yuna[/name]/Youna (a popular Korean name in my area).

I’ve always loved this name, whether its [name]Una[/name] or [name]Oona[/name]. Really I think [name]Una[/name] should be used if you have another child with a traditionally spelled name, as it probably matches better. (Example: [name]Zoe[/name] and [name]Una[/name] or [name]Zoey[/name] and [name]Oona[/name].)

I have a softer spot in my heart for [name]Oona[/name], though, as its an O name, and it’s the way [name]Charlie[/name] [name]Chaplin[/name]'s wife spelled hers!
