I like [name]Margaux[/name] a lot more! Though Margeaux intrigues me too.

However, if you’re not french, I can see it confusing your daughter when it’s time to learn phonics/reading.

[name]Margaux[/name] isn’t actually a name in [name]France[/name]. I would go with [name]Margo[/name] / [name]Margot[/name].

I actually like “[name]Margot[/name]” best.

[name]Margot[/name] is the best spelling.

I like [name]Margot[/name] best too.

Ditto [name]Margot[/name].

I was so excited to throw [name]Margot[/name] out there for consideration, but it turns out I’m not as original as I thought. [name]Margot[/name] gets my vote. In the absence of [name]Margot[/name], I’d vote for [name]Margo[/name], but it looks more like a nickname spelled that way to me.

I’m pretty sure [name]Margaux[/name] as a name originates or was popularized by [name]Margaux[/name] [name]Hemingway[/name], who was born with the spelling [name]Margot[/name] and changed it to [name]Margaux[/name]. According to Wikipedia, “When she learned that she was named for the wine, Château [name]Margaux[/name], which her parents, [name]Puck[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] [name]Hemingway[/name] (eldest son of [name]Ernest[/name]), were drinking the night she was conceived, she changed the original spelling from ‘[name]Margot[/name]’ to ‘[name]Margaux[/name]’ to match.”

I prefer [name]Margo[/name].

Yup, [name]Margot[/name] is my vote too.

[name]Margot[/name] is the best! [name]Margo[/name] is okay too. I don’t like [name]Margaux[/name].

Another [name]Margot[/name].

Yup, [name]Margot[/name].

[name]Margo[/name] is the best imo, I just want to say [name]Mar[/name]-Got when a t is added on and I think maggot, I find it unnecessary…
