[name_f]Emmie[/name_f]! It’s so beautiful.

Reasons:

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] - looks a bit choppy to me. The ending after the last M is too abrupt. It doesn’t look right in the way [name_f]Elly[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosy[/name_f] don’t look right.

[name_f]Emmi[/name_f] - it is already a short form and the -i ending makes it look more childish. Don’t get me wrong, I love the name, but it needs a more mature ending to make up for the fact that it’s a bit cute-sounding. It’s also a brand in Europe (cheese). I don’t think that’s a problem, but I would choose a different spelling because of this as well.

[name_f]Emy[/name_f] - something looks wrong here. I think people might try ee-mee or [name_f]Amy[/name_f] for this one so I’d really avoid it.

[name_f]Emi[/name_f] - it’s cute in Japan, but unnecessarily complicated here. Kind of like using [name_f]Mei[/name_f] (which I love) instead of [name_f]May[/name_f]. It might also get eh-mee or [name_f]Amy[/name_f] or ee-mee.

[name_f]Emme[/name_f] - I don’t like this, it looks kind of non-elegant to me and people might just say Emm instead of emm-mee.

[name_f]Emmie[/name_f] is perfect.

I voted for [name_f]Emme[/name_f] because to me, it follows the spelling of [name_f]Emma[/name_f], which makes it intuitive in my mind. I also like how it looks and the feeling it gives me. I hope this helps! :blossom::butterfly:

I would have voted for [name_f]Emy[/name_f] and [name_f]Emi[/name_f].

[name_f]Emi[/name_f] is an actual Japanese name, with many meanings, including:

[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] glory
Smiling beauty
[name_f]Beautiful[/name_f] painting

[name_f]Emmie[/name_f] is my daughter’s preferred nickname! I don’t bat an eye when I meet an adult [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_u]Christie[/name_u], [name_f]Debbie[/name_f], [name_u]Angie[/name_u], etc so this gives me the same vibes. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] seem to be the most common forms of the name (Emmy probably being the most common). [name_f]Emme[/name_f] is cute but like [name_f]Bette[/name_f] it seems to be pronounced either “Emmy” or “Em” and we wanted a clear pronunciation since her given name is already pronounced 3 different ways . I also went with the [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] spelling because it seemed more feminine and brighter than [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] still has a strong association with the awards and is apparently the name of a camera part.
