Which spelling: Rhona, Rona or Roana

I really like the sound of [name_f]Rhona[/name_f]/[name_f]Rona[/name_f]/[name_f]Roana[/name_f], but am uncertain on the spelling.

I personally prefer [name_f]Roana[/name_f], but the fact that people might pronounce it as ro-anna ([name_f]Joanna[/name_f] with a R instead of a J) is something that holds me back. But if we do use it, it will be a middle name, so I’m also wondering if it’s such a big deal.

Which spelling do you prefer?

I also prefer the [name_f]Roana[/name_f] spelling. And because it’s a mn, I wouldn’t worry too much.

I like [name_f]Roana[/name_f] as well. It’s the first time I saw this spelling, but it’s nice.

I like [name_f]Roana[/name_f], but I pronounced it [name_f]Ro[/name_f]-ana in my head. I would choose [name_f]Rhona[/name_f].

I would go with [name_f]Rhona[/name_f].

Thanks all

Since its a middle I think [name_f]Roana[/name_f] is ok, it won’t be said much.

I know a [name_f]Rona[/name_f] who has always had her name mispelled as [name_f]Rhona[/name_f]. I would say [name_f]Rhona[/name_f] because of that.

At first, I misread [name_f]Rhona[/name_f] as [name_f]Rhonda[/name_f], which maybe isn’t great. [name_f]Rona[/name_f] to me is the building centre. So by process of elimination, I prefer [name_f]Roana[/name_f]. What about Ronah? Like [name_m]Jonah[/name_m]?

I would use [name_f]Rhona[/name_f], but if you like [name_f]Roana[/name_f], I think it could work.

I like [name_f]Rhona[/name_f] the best.

[name_f]Rona[/name_f] is a home+garden store chain in [name_f]Canada[/name_f]. But since it’s a middle, I say choose whatever spelling you like best as most people will never know her middle name and those that do, will figure out how to say it the first time you introduce it.

I like [name_f]Roana[/name_f] the most! Especially since it’s a middle, it will rarely be pronounced

I would go with [name_f]Rona[/name_f] or [name_f]Rhona[/name_f], as I saw [name_f]Roana[/name_f] and thought “[name_f]Ro[/name_f]-anna”.
