I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the idea of [name_f]Lucie[/name_f], especially with the Dickensian literary cred. But for practicality, I’d go with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], unless you don’t mind saying “[name_f]Lucie[/name_f] with an -ie” a lot (and maybe that won’t be a major bother for you).

I prefer [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. [name_f]Adore[/name_f] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. It would be on my short list but my puppers is [name_f]Lucy[/name_f].

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] due to it being more common and intuitive to the ears. Great name you got.

Lately I’ve been preferring [name_f]Lucie[/name_f]!

For most names I like them better ending in -ie, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is one of the exceptions to that. Beautiful name!

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is much more common and will therefore cause fewer headaches for you and your daughter. [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] also looks like it’s short for [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], whereas [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] looks like a complete, full name.

As a teacher I would definitely say [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], it’s the obvious spelling. [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] doesn’t sound any different so I’m always for the most common/recognised spelling.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is the easier option. A child called [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] will forever be correcting people on how to spell her name, as most people won’t even think to question such a common spelling. [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] is fine as a nickname, but if going for the full name I would suggest sticking to [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]! Would stick with the original spelling to avoid confusion and corrections.

Thanks everyone. I am still partial to [name_f]Lucie[/name_f] but I think I might use [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] for ease.
