Still loving the name [name]Rin[/name], but we really want the mn [name]Rosalie[/name], so thought - how about Mairin and simply use ‘[name]Rin[/name]’? It’s Irish and means beloved.
But which of these would you choose? Or would you just go with [name]Rin[/name]?
(none are made up, it’s just different ways of spelling it)
As much as I am a huge fan of Irish names, above poster is correct: the pronunciation is Maw-reen / [name]Maureen[/name]. What about the very similar scandinavian name [name]Marin[/name] (’[name]MARE[/name]-in’ or ‘Ma-rin’). Gets you closer to [name]Rin[/name] without sacrificing much (except an ‘i’).
I would definitely try and use [name]Marin[/name] or something similar to get the nn [name]Rin[/name].
[name]Marin[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] is very pretty.
[name]Marin[/name] would be my choice too. That’s what I thought you’d originally written–so it would prevent confusion and give you the right pronunciation.
