I really like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or [name_f]Macy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]; I love alliteration.

I find [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] to be a little bit of a mouthful.

I’m not a fan of any of them. Sorry not very helpful.

I like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] as a nickname, so I think that would be my pick.

[name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] or [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] … They have a lot of strength and spunk which I love.

I voted [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is quite popular and I’m hearing [name_f]Macy[/name_f] more and more so if it doesn’t enter the top 100 this year it will soon. I also want to suggest [name_f]Etta[/name_f] , [name_u]Penny[/name_u] , [name_u]Vinnie[/name_u] (a bit ahead of the bell curve for vintage nicknames but I really like it),[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] if your husband ever decides to consider more names.

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] got my vote

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. I like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_u]Josie[/name_u]
Interesting you have heard [name_f]Macy[/name_f] a fair bit. may I ask what area of the world you are from?

[name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand. I also see a lot of Maisies pronounced [name_f]Macy[/name_f] as well.

Oh true. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you work with children? At least in NZ even if they are in the top 100 it doesn’t mean all that many. [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] was number 48 but only 70 something were given that name.
But I do worry about using the next [name_f]Ava[/name_f] or [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
I see you also like [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - my dad made a comment that it rhymes with arsey (thanks Dad). [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think that is something to worry about in NZ?

I like [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]! It seems very spunky and free-spirited.

I don’t but I hear it a lot out and about and have also been to school with a few Macys/Maisies.

The thing you do have to remember is 70 wouldn’t be a lot in [name_u]America[/name_u] or [name_f]England[/name_f] or even Australia but not that many babies are born here. I could see a [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] in [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand have to go by her initials in a class with [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] B and [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] R.

I think it could come up (because honestly [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealanders are the worst sometimes). Would it bother you if a family member or someone else brought it up? That’s the question.

[name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]! She’s really sweet!

That’s true!

Hmm I think I mostly worry about teasing at school. It’s a shame, such a nice name!

[name_m]How[/name_m] about Maizy [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]North[/name_u]?
Or even Mayzee to avoid the look of a nn.
I like Mayzee better than Maycee.
[name_f]Macy[/name_f] IS a store.
Everyone says “[name_u]Frankie[/name_u] is cute” but it’s not so cute on a 50 or 60 year old.

It really is. Maybe you could run it past your other family members and see how many would find teasing potential. I’d be more concerned about family then school but maybe I just have a really class clown family lol.

I like [name_f]Maisie[/name_f] spelling of “may-zee” but my husband doesn’t like that pronounciation.
I’ve never seen/been to a Macys store so it doesn’t really bother me. Only heard of it from movies mentioning the parade haha

I voted for [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]…I’m partial to [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] because I had a great-aunt w/that name, plus if you wanted to you could use [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] as a nn (in [name_m]French[/name_m] marguerites are daisies). [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]-[name_f]May[/name_f] would be cute too (my great-aunt went by [name_f]May[/name_f]). Good luck!

I love both [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] and [name_f]Macy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]! [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] is sophisticated with more ~flair~, but I’m partial to the fresh contemporary-ness of [name_f]Macy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], especially when paired with your last name.

[name_f]Macy[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]North[/name_u]. Looks and sounds fresh and crisp and clean! A heard-of but not super common/popular first paired with a classic middle (my favorite combo). She sounds happy and upbeat. [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] sounds more moody and dramatic, [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

Aw thank you for the feedback!
Those last 3 especially made me feel excited about naming our little girl

I chose [name_u]Frankie[/name_u] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] because I prefer [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f] to [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] any day. I also love the balancing act of something spunky and something more feminine.
