Which name would you pick out of these two names? [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f]?
I do have other hyphenated name ideas but these two seem to be sticking out to me.
This is for myself not a child so I would be the one dealing with the paperwork problems if there are any with a hyphenated first name.

I agree with this. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f] feels like the name of a fictional character more than the name of an actual person.
I personally feel neutral about [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. Personally I am not fond of smooched or hyphenated names. I would go with [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]. For example, a top choice of mine is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and I would mostly call her [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. I have several names like this on my short list. [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is definitely a cuter/sweeter name than [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] but I wouldn’t say it’s overly cute/sweet. Actually it feels more down-to-earth, more approachable. [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], for me, has more of the strict school teacher feel.
[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], I guess, but I’m not fond of [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] (as the other poster said, it reminds me of a grizzled schoolmarm). It’s just the lesser of two evils.
I’m sorry, I’m not usually this blunt, but [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Louise[/name_f] made my head spin around 360 degrees, exorcism-style. I wouldn’t name a lollipop that. I wouldn’t even give that name to a pet flea. It’s so saccharine and cringey. And the double L gives my tongue actual fatigue to say it out loud.
Why not just . . . [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]?
