Which would you pick?

Our short list is now sitting and 7 names, and though I’m not 100% sure we’ve found ‘the one’ I hope it might be in there somewhere. The names are [name_u]Linden[/name_u], [name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m]. While we’re still very much open to suggestion, I was hoping someone could ‘convince’ us of one of the names. We already have two daughters, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], and I would like the names to all ‘fit’ together.

My favourite for you is [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. It has a nature feel, is masculine without being harsh, and isn’t overly common. It is a handsome name!

I like [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] for you, especially [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] for the same reasons as @whitegardenia

Yep, I’d pick [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] too. It’s a traditional, long-established name which is underused but current (like your girls’ names), and it has the bonus of being a third subtle nature name. I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] for you a lot too, and I suppose you could argue a nature connection there too for the “bear” meaning.

The others are all lovely names but [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] feels a bit too mainstream and the rest a bit too modern, if you’re after a set that feels really co-ordinated.

With [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], I like [name_u]Linden[/name_u], [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m].

[name_f]Briar[/name_f] with the sibling [name_f]Rose[/name_f] seems way over the top to me. It also evokes [name_f]Briar[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (from Sleeping Beauty), so it reads very feminine to me.

As I repeat the sibsets, I like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] best though I see the appeal of the -s- sound to link the names if you use [name_m]Asher[/name_m].

Absolutely [name_u]Linden[/name_u] with [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! [name_u]Linden[/name_u] has the same old, natural and slightly whimsical feel as [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. Second choice would be [name_f]Briar[/name_f] or [name_m]Archer[/name_m].
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] are all nice names, but they feel more trendy then [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is also a fantastic name, but it lacks the obvious nature connection and the whimsy feel.

i think [name_u]Linden[/name_u] or [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is the best pair with sibs but i like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] best as a name. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m] are really cute but on a grown man? Not a fan of [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_f]Briar[/name_f] with sibling [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a no-no, too much sleeping beauty

[name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] are my personal favorites with your girls’ names. All handsome names on your list, with the exception of [name_f]Briar[/name_f]. That is a girl’s name and feminine names on boys are one of my pet peeves. Other than that, you cannot go wrong!

My personal favorites with your sibset are [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m].

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] is very popular compared to [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f].

[name_f]Briar[/name_f] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m] are not quite as distinctly masculine as the others imo.

Overall I think chosing a name you love far outweighs having the perfect ‘sibset’ so go with the one you feel the greatest connection and fondness for regardless of fit. The fit will come naturally if you are content with the name. GL.

Well your girls both have flower nature name and I think [name_u]Linden[/name_u] would be a great choice because they would all go very well together and nobody would feel left out. I love the sound of [name_u]Linden[/name_u], it’s a lovely name!

I say [name_m]Archer[/name_m] or [name_m]Asher[/name_m]! [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is not a female name, it’s unisex. If it weren’t for Sleeping Beauty, I’m sure not many females would be called this nature name. The Circle of [name_u]Magic[/name_u] book series gives [name_u]Briar[/name_u] for a boy, a very strong connection. I would have easily voted for [name_u]Briar[/name_u] but due to one of your daughter’s being named [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I think it’s too connected to Sleeping Beauty.

My favourite is [name_m]Asher[/name_m], closely followed by [name_m]Jasper[/name_m].

I think [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is absolutely perfect with the sister names!

My vote goes to [name_u]Linden[/name_u] or [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. I think they have the vintage nature feel that goes well with [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] seems too mainstream, [name_m]Asher[/name_m] too modern, [name_f]Briar[/name_f] too feminine ([name_f]Briar[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] comes to mind), and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and [name_m]Archer[/name_m] would work, but don’t seem as nature-y as your other options.

[name_u]Linden[/name_u] or [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] get my vote. I don’t dislike [name_f]Briar[/name_f] for a boy, but with a sister named [name_f]Rose[/name_f], I’d avoid it! [name_u]Linden[/name_u] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] are both old fashioned yet fashionable now, without being popular and and nature themed. All qualities [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] share. I think either are the perfect fit with your daughters.

With [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f], I like them in this order:

[name_m]Oliver[/name_m]
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m]
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Archer[/name_m]
[name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]

[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] or [name_m]Asher[/name_m]!
