I’m curious as to what names you think are whimsical - but not overly so. Names with a touch of whimsy but still usable.
I think it depends on your definition of “usable.” Here are some that I find whimsical that most people would consider “normal” and usable:
[name]Ivy[/name]
[name]Willow[/name]
[name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Vienna[/name]
[name]Cadenza[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Opal[/name]
[name]Lark[/name]
…basically, I think word names are whimsical!
Others that I find whimsical that I personally consider usable but that other people may argue include:
[name]Winola[/name]
[name]Cilla[/name]
[name]Pepper[/name]
Chella
[name]Briar[/name]
[name]Timber[/name]
[name]Ceil[/name]
[name]Pola[/name]
I realize that people’s definitions of “usable” and “whimsical” will vary somewhat, but that ok…even a bit of the point! Thank you for sharing, you listed some lovely names. I don’t think a name has to be “normal” per say to be “usable”.
[name]Aurora[/name] and [name]Olive[/name] strike me as whimsical but usable.
I think nature and celestial names seem to be whimsical to me. I like these:

[name]Marigold[/name]
[name]Wisteria[/name] (possibly nn Wish)
[name]Andromeda[/name]
Alhena
[name]Lyra[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name]
and for some reason [name]Georgiana[/name] comes to mind! I love the idea of a whimsical name and am excited to see what other people say!

Oh and [name]Phoenix[/name], I know a girl named that and I really like it, but I can see it being over the top for some people.
I think [name]Aurora[/name], [name]Winter[/name] and [name]Willow[/name] are whimsical but still usable.
[name]Persephone[/name] [name]Olwen[/name] [name]Snow[/name] and [name]Pandora[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Winter[/name] are two of my combo’s and I’ve been told they are very whimsical names but not so usable to some people.
