[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Whit[/name_u]! I generally prefer [name_m]Whittaker[/name_m] nn [name_u]Whit[/name_u], but just [name_u]Whit[/name_u] is really cool, too! ([name_u]Whitney[/name_u] and [name_f]Whitley[/name_f] are also intriguing.)
Despite your [name_m]German[/name_m] surname, [name_u]Whit[/name_u] makes the most sense to me, since I think that’s how most would assume it’s spelled. [name_m]Witt[/name_m] would be my second favorite, but Whitt in general just seems like not enough of one or the other to make it that appealing to me, unfortunately. [name_u]Whit[/name_u] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] is adorable!
Good luck!
[name_u]Whit[/name_u] looks and feels the most natural to me.
[name_u]Whit[/name_u] is the most intuitive in my mind. [name_m]Witt[/name_m] makes me think of the word “wit” while the [name_u]Whit[/name_u] spelling doesn’t. I can appreciate the compromise of Whitt but like someone else mentioned, it seems neither here nor there. I love the [name_u]Whit[/name_u] spelling. Such a great name!
The ‘H’ in [name_u]Whit[/name_u] makes me think "[name_u]Whitney[/name_u]’ - [name_m]Witt[/name_m] seems more manly
