[name_f]My[/name_f] mom and my SO’s mom both share a birth month and the same middle name which makes finding a joint honor name for a girl super easy and fun.
It’s been a lot trickier for a boy though! [name_f]My[/name_f] mom’s maiden name contains the word white and his mom’s maiden name contains the word w!nter within it so how about Whitew!nter as a middle? [name_m]Way[/name_m] too weird or a really cool, creative honor?
Would love your thoughts! (Not expecting yet, just having fun with ideas) Front runner name is [name_m]Zane[/name_m] so [name_m]Zane[/name_m] Whitew!nter but we also like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], [name_u]Nolan[/name_u], and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m].
I’ve considered [name_u]Snow[/name_u] too! But with [name_m]Zane[/name_m] as the front runner I think I like the longer rhythm of Whitew!nter a bit more
I actually love this! I think [name_m]Zane[/name_m] Wh!tewinter is amazing.
ETA: if you end up using something like [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] or [name_m]Ronan[/name_m], I like @greyblue’s suggestion of [name_u]Snow[/name_u]? [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] and [name_m]Ronan[/name_m] [name_u]Snow[/name_u] are really nice!
Honestly, it’s not the worst name idea I’ve heard on here but i also think he’d likely not appreciate the cheesiness of the name later in life (age 10 and up) so I’d look for something else.
It’s the white winter meaning, similar to how Greengrass or Bluesky or [name_u]Rhett[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be cheesy even if they were the most familiest family names out there.
And just because the intention was good, doesn’t mean the child will appreciate the name.
I’d ask around a few other forums on the internet just to get a more balanced view, NB tends to be a lot more willing to go bold, in theory that is. Most users with children have given them relatively familiar names actually.
[name_f]My[/name_f] honest opinion would be that it wouldn’t be something I would go for, even in the middle spot. However in the end it is your child and you should go with a name that you love and has meaning to you.
Fwiw the name Whitner randomly came to mind when reading your post.
[name_m]Zane[/name_m] Whitner is gorgeous. I love this idea! And whitner perfectly combines both honor names.
I agree with others, i like wh1tewinter in theory, but not sure how well it would wear, and the flow seems a bit off. It is a cool, edgy middle though!
I adore honour names ! If you think this is the middle name for you I would say go for it. Middles that are bold don’t bug me at all , but if it were a first name I would give more pause.
There is a kid In my sons class named Wynt£r-W!llow (double barrel first) and she pulls it off. While it’s not my first choice I have grown to appreciate the name
