We are having a hard time thinking of baby boy names. My husband was dead set on naming our first son [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and I conceded. Now I love the name but I feel like it might limit our 2nd baby name choices. We both tend to like shorter names that are not too popular. My husband prefers that a child just be named the nickname rather than the whole name (That’s how I ended up with an [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and not a [name_u]Asa[/name_u] or [name_u]Wallace[/name_u]). I recently heard the name Whitt and just love it! It sounds short, spunky, and kind of southern which I love. Does it sound okay as a sibling with [name_m]Ace[/name_m]? What do you think of the name Whitt?
I’m not a fan of Whitt, to be honest, but it does sound great with [name_m]Ace[/name_m].
I don’t like it by itself, I like [name_m]Whitman[/name_m] though.
If you like short and spunky, how about [name_u]Kai[/name_u]?
Or [name_m]Levi[/name_m]? [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m] sound adorable!
I think it works.
Never heard of Whitt on its own before, but it’s definitely growing on me. And it does pair well with [name_m]Ace[/name_m].
The only thing that bothers me is that some people may find it feminine. I knew a lot of female [name_f]Whitley[/name_f]'s growing up that went by [name_u]Whit[/name_u]. It certainly doesn’t sound feminine to me (especially since I think [name_f]Whitley[/name_f] is masculine anyway) but I can see others feeling that way.
I love the suggestion of [name_m]Levi[/name_m] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m]! You also may like [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_u]Micah[/name_u] or [name_m]Rhett[/name_m].
Good points everyone (OP here!). I do really like the name [name_m]Levi[/name_m] but I can’t sell DH on it and I think its possibly too popular for us right now. He won’t go for [name_u]Jude[/name_u] either but I think its fab. Other ones we like are [name_u]Theo[/name_u], [name_u]Dash[/name_u], [name_m]Wes[/name_m], [name_m]Bruno[/name_m], and [name_m]Knox[/name_m].
I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m]!
[name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Knox[/name_m] are nice together. I like that a lot!
[name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_u]Dash[/name_u] are also really cute for bros.
[name_m]Wes[/name_m] is lovely as well, but [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Wes[/name_m] … not sure about them together.
[name_m]Ace[/name_m] and Whitt are okay—I don’t know! [name_m]Ace[/name_m] is more accepted as a stand alone name. And while I do like the sound of Whitt, it feels a little pompous on it’s own, like naming a kid Einstein or Wise.
A few others with a similar feel: [name_m]Burke[/name_m], [name_u]Tate[/name_u], [name_m]Drake[/name_m], [name_m]Jett[/name_m], [name_m]York[/name_m], [name_m]Lance[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m], [name_u]Vic[/name_u], [name_m]Hale[/name_m]
[name_m]Ace[/name_m] and Whitt are great together.
I think [name_m]Rhett[/name_m] and [name_m]Levi[/name_m] are much nicer than Whitt
Out of the suggestions I like Whitt and [name_m]Levi[/name_m] best. Some other options…
[name_m]Beau[/name_m] (my favorite with [name_m]Ace[/name_m])
[name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_m]Len[/name_m]
[name_m]Ty[/name_m]
