Who Doesn't Like Georgiana? (and why?)

We’re pretty settled on [name]Georgiana[/name] for #2, but I still keep wondering what the rest of the world thinks of it. The only negatives I’ve really heard about it are:

  1. “I don’t like [name]George[/name]- names.” Fair enough…

  2. “It’s an old lady name.” That doesn’t bother me, because I like that style :slight_smile:

So does anyone not like [name]Georgiana[/name] for some reason other than those I listed above? I’d be interested in hearing your darkest opinions about it!

To those who asked about pronunciation, we’re planning to pronounce it [name]George[/name] -ee- ahna. Nickname [name]Georgi[/name] or [name]Gigi[/name]. Middle name either [name]Lily[/name] or [name]Bluebell[/name].

This doesn’t answere your question but…I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Georgiana[/name]! Which way are you planning to pronounce it? I’ve heard the British way, [name]George[/name]-ayna, but I’ve also heard [name]George[/name]-ee-anna. I like both :slight_smile: It is an elegent, historical, and rarely heard name.

I like it but it really depends on how you say it. [name]George[/name] -ee- ahna is cool but george-ina or like they say it in The Duchess makes me like it less.
