Well, nicknames are really anything you want them to be since they don’t need to be official. You can be named [name]Martha[/name] and go by [name]Hephzibah[/name] if you want to.
I guess it has the Ma and x often stands in for “etc.” so I see the logic–like I can see it working for [name]Matthew[/name] or [name]Maverick[/name] or something. I just can’t imagine many people named [name]Martha[/name] actually wanting to go by [name]Max[/name], but if that’s what floats your boat then-- sure thing!
Thanks, [name]Kala[/name]! I love [name]Martha[/name] but, have yet to settle on a good one syllable nn option. I thought [name]Max[/name] seems cute and spunky while, sticking somewhat close to the origin.
