Alright, I’m doing a story that’s set in an alternative universe where the government has taken total control of the populace… They even control who you marry. This is set a 100+ years in the future and everyone is looking very stepford and wholesome, so I want that stepford-ness to reflect in these character’s names. For my story, you need to think 1984 meets erotica romance (if that makes any sense).
I already have a name for my main character, but I need a few names for some of the main characters.
The Younger [name_f]Sister[/name_f] - She’s 17, still in school and hating the government. This sister is rebellious, doesn’t want the government to tell her who to get married to, wants to join a rebellion, etc. For this sister I want a name that has a bit of a spunky edge, but still has that classy feel to it. With her I’m thinking of names that are along the lines of [name_f]Petra[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]. Though I still need help with this one here.
The Older Brother - He’s somewhere in his 20’s, a strong government supporter. He has a job in law enforcement, and he sees the world in black or white. No clue what kind of name for him, I would like something that is solid and strong, nothing that’s soft. Names like Marcus and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] comes in mind for him.
The secret girly crush for my main (female) character - This is a old school friend of my main character. The two experimented with each-other in school, the MC thought it was harmless teenage fun while the friend took it as something more. For her I’m thinking something that’s cutesy and energetic, something along the lines of [name_u]Josie[/name_u], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u].
The husband to be of my MC - My MC is 18, he’s in his late 20’s. He’s into BDSM, he likes control, and he has an important job (that I’m not sure of yet). For him I want the [name_m]Christian[/name_m] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] of Names, something that sounds sleek and respectable. I’m really open to a ton of suggestions here, really throw it all at me.
I’m basically looking for Downton Abbey type names. Thank you for reading and for your help!
