Why are boys' names so tricky?

[name]Hi[/name], Berries,

We’re doing our due diligence in brainstorming all the possible names for our little boy due this fall.

What are your thoughts on our/my shortlist, and send us any recommendations. We’re all ears!

(PS, our last hame is two syllables and starts and ends with ‘S’. We prefer names out of the Top 75, but can’t help but crush on some classics.)

  • [name]Everett[/name] / [name]Rhett[/name]
  • [name]Thaddeus[/name] / [name]Tad[/name]
  • [name]Henry[/name]
  • Quincy
  • Clancy
  • Weston
  • Conrad
  • Jasper
  • Stellan

Thank you in advance!

Ooh, I love [name]Stellan[/name], [name]Everett[/name], and [name]Jasper[/name]!
The others aren’t really my style, but most berries on here tend to disagree with me…
Does [name]Stellan[/name] sound ok with your last name? I tend to like alliteration, but I know you have to be careful with with the s’

[name]Love[/name] [name]Stellan[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], and [name]Conrad[/name].

[name]Quincy[/name]: I can’t get behind this. Makes me think of queezy
[name]Everett[/name]: I like it, but I don’t love it. I have a good friend with a son named this, so I see it a lot.
[name]Clancy[/name]: I’m in the fence. Better than [name]Quincy[/name].
[name]Weston[/name]: Meh , it’s ok. Not perfect, but not bad.
[name]Thaddeus[/name]: I like it. [name]Thaddeus[/name] always makes me think of [name]Amadeus[/name] (which I [name]LOVE[/name])
[name]Henry[/name]: It’s ok, but I find it a bit boring as it is generational family name. Probably does not have the same feel to you.

I love [name]Henry[/name], [name]Conrad[/name], and [name]Everett[/name]!

My favorite three are: [name]Henry[/name], [name]Jasper[/name], and [name]Thaddeus[/name].

Thank you, Berries! The feedback is helpful

[name]Thaddeus[/name], [name]Henry[/name] and [name]Jasper[/name] are all wonderful!

  • [name]Everett[/name] / [name]Rhett[/name] -Definitely my favourite!
  • [name]Thaddeus[/name] / [name]Tad[/name] -I would stay away from this one based on your last name starting with an S!
  • [name]Henry[/name] - So common in my circles!!
  • [name]Quincy[/name] - Interesting
  • [name]Clancy[/name] - Interesting
  • [name]Weston[/name] - Great name
  • [name]Conrad[/name] - I’m on the fence
  • [name]Jasper[/name] -Great name
  • [name]Stellan[/name] - Sounds feminine to me, too close to [name]Stella[/name] in my opinion

What about: [name]Frederick[/name], [name]Gilbert[/name], [name]Colton[/name], [name]Quinton[/name], [name]Reid[/name]?

Given your last name, I think the best bet would be [name]Everett[/name], [name]Henry[/name], or [name]Conrad[/name].

[name]Everett[/name], [name]Thaddeus[/name], [name]Clancy[/name], and [name]Jasper[/name] are some of my favorite names! Here are my conclusions:

[name]Everett[/name] - I like it a lot put it may be a bit too popular
[name]Thaddeus[/name] - [name]Love[/name]! But then your last name starts with an ‘S’, so maybe not the best idea
[name]Henry[/name] - I don’t like this as much, maybe because I picture an old farmer (but that’s probably just me)
[name]Quincy[/name] - This name has just been used too much lately, though I do like it
[name]Clancy[/name] - I love this one. Reminds me of a Irishman more than any other Irish name
[name]Weston[/name] - This is not one of my favorite names, but I have no idea why I don’t like it
[name]Conrad[/name] - I really like this name
[name]Jasper[/name] - This name has “spunk”. I love it
[name]Stellan[/name] - A little too new age for my taste (even if it is an old name). It has the suggestion of a trend about it

All in all I think you have wonderful taste in names : )

  • [name]Everett[/name] / [name]Rhett[/name]-- I really like this name. And the nickname.
  • [name]Thaddeus[/name] / [name]Tad[/name]-- Cute, a little bit on the hipster side to me, but still good.
  • [name]Henry[/name]-- If you’re into nicknames, I’d pass. No way to shorten [name]Henry[/name] except “[name]Hen[/name]” (a chicken).
  • [name]Quincy[/name]-- I like it. It definitely continues on in my mind as “[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Jones[/name]” (the musician) for me, but it’s not like that’s a bad association. [name]Just[/name] a strong one.
  • [name]Clancy[/name]-- Nah.
  • [name]Weston[/name]-- I love this name. I have a friend who used it otherwise it would be in the running for me.
  • [name]Conrad[/name]-- Not a fan. Again, if you like nicknames, what are you gonna call this one? “[name]Con[/name]” (artist?)
  • [name]Jasper[/name]-- I love [name]Jasper[/name]!
  • [name]Stellan[/name]-- Very handsome, but a little on the stuffy side for my taste.

[name]Everett[/name] / [name]Rhett[/name]- love it, one of my favorites! Suggesting [name]Merritt[/name] and [name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Thaddeus[/name] / [name]Tad[/name]- its ok
[name]Henry[/name]- nice classic. Suggesting [name]Harris[/name] and [name]Neil[/name]
[name]Quincy[/name]- its ok, prefer [name]Quinton[/name] or just [name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Clancy[/name]- I don’t like it
[name]Weston[/name]- handsome, I like [name]Wesley[/name] too.
[name]Conrad[/name]- nice, strong name
[name]Jasper[/name]- nice, but not my favorite
[name]Stellan[/name]- Im not a fan of this name, reminds me of Stalin which is not a good reference [name]IMO[/name].
