Why are men so difficult?

[name]Hi[/name] everyone,

Well we have decided on [name]Jane[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Romero[/name] for our baby girl! My boyfriend and I chose it very quickly and we both love it. As for her twin brother… things haven’t been so easy.

I thought we had decided on [name]Leo[/name], but the other day when we were out to lunch we met a little boy named [name]Morgan[/name] (which was on our original list, also a family name for me) and now he is obsessing over it! He said it was a sign that we met that little boy, and is not even thinking about [name]Leo[/name] anymore! I like the name [name]Morgan[/name] just as much but I also think [name]Leo[/name] fits with [name]Jane[/name] more because it’s short. I thought we had everything sorted out, it’s a good thing I didn’t order their monogrammed baby blankets yet. Grr.

Anyway, I need your name expertise! [name]Morgan[/name] or [name]Leo[/name]? Also, I might as well get middle names over with too. We want 2 middles, and here are the choices…

[name]Harbor[/name]
Raimi
[name]James[/name]
[name]Lucio[/name]
[name]Dario[/name]
[name]Blue[/name]

I appreciate all your help and thanks for helping us decide on [name]Jane[/name] [name]Alice[/name] [name]Romero[/name]!

[name]Molly[/name]

[name]Leo[/name], no question! Unfortunately, [name]Morgan[/name] is considered a girl’s name by pretty much everyone (at least in the US), so I would be very hesitant to name a boy [name]Morgan[/name]. I’m not really a fan of the name anyway, but I would much rather see it on a boy. I love [name]Leo[/name], though, and it goes great with [name]Jane[/name] ([name]Jane[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is beautiful)!

[name]Leo[/name] is a great boy name!! I agree with the previous poster that [name]Morgan[/name] is considered a GIRL’S name. It is in the top 100 names for girls in the U.S. at #56 in 2009. It is almost unheard of for boys.

From your list, I like [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] or [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]Blue[/name].

I like [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]James[/name]. I think of [name]Morgan[/name] as a female name (although I have heard it used for males, too), and so people may think you have two girls upon hearing [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Morgan[/name].

And congratulations on the twins, I have twins (a girl and a boy) and they’re so much fun!

[name]Leo[/name], definitely. Especially since he will have a twin sister; with twins I think it is especially important to choose clearly gendered names in order to avoid confusion.

[name]Leo[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] are both classic, while [name]Morgan[/name] feels a tad dated.

My favourite combo is [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]James[/name]. Such a nice blend of the classic and the unique.

And I have to ask, are [name]Romero[/name] and Raimi after the horror film directors? Because if they are, I don’t know if that’s the best legacy to unload on a baby. And if they aren’t, then you should know that there are horror film directors named both [name]George[/name] A. [name]Romero[/name] ([name]Dawn[/name] of the Dead) and [name]Sam[/name] Raimi (The Evil Dead). [name]Just[/name] putting that out there.

Sorry for the double post, but the more I look at your list, the more of a horror movie influence I see. Are [name]Dario[/name] and [name]Lucio[/name] after [name]Dario[/name] [name]Argento[/name] and [name]Lucio[/name] Fulci? If you are naming your children after cult movie directors, these two bother me less as they are not as obvious.

But I must say, I don’t know how comfortable I would be naming a new, innocent life after the masters of terror and gore.

And if you are completely unaware of these connections, then I am sorry for being a total movie nerd. Again I just think these are things to think about.

i like leo xo

[name]Leo[/name], with its classic, handsome feel, definitely sounds the best with [name]Jane[/name]. [name]Morgan[/name] seems like it was much more of a trend name, almost like [name]Taylor[/name].

[name]How[/name] about [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Dario[/name], or, as a compromise, [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Blue[/name]. [name]Lucio[/name] is nice, but too much with [name]Leo[/name]. You could try [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Lucian[/name].

Perhaps [name]Leopold[/name] or Leonide, or even [name]Leon[/name], could be some sort of compromise, nn [name]Leo[/name]?

Good luck! [name]Auburn[/name]

Personnally when I hear [name]Morgan[/name] I think of a cowboy or [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Freeman[/name] maybe because I’ve never met a girl named [name]Morgan[/name] but I do know it’s a unisex name. To me it’s not super girly. That being said [name]Leo[/name] sounds better with [name]Jane[/name]. I like the suggestion of [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name]! [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Harbor[/name]? Oh or [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Blue[/name]! [name]Love[/name] that one!

I agree that [name]Leo[/name] would probably work better in your case, but I would not let the unisex factor deter me from using [name]Morgan[/name] for a boy (except for the most “long gone” ones I think it’s great when parents use “unisex” names for boys).

[name]Molly[/name],

First of all, congrats on such a beautiful girl name! [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Alice[/name] are two of my favorites. And congrats on TWINS!

I much prefer [name]Leo[/name] to [name]Morgan[/name]. Besides the actor [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Freeman[/name], I’ve never heard of a male [name]Morgan[/name], only females. In terms of middle names, I like [name]Harbor[/name] and [name]James[/name] the best.

My overall favorites? [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]James[/name] or [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]Blue[/name]

I actually have a male friend named [name]Morgan[/name]. He’s a younger guy and his name fits him well. He is a local news anchor and his name never feels awkward when said on air.

That being said, I know more female Morgans than male, and in my personal opinion, I like [name]Leo[/name] better than [name]Morgan[/name] in your case. I think it goes better with [name]Jane[/name] (have you considered her name to be [name]Alice[/name] [name]Jane[/name] [name]Romero[/name]? I think that sounds lovely! ---- of course, the way you chosen it to be is beautiful as well! I was just curious)

I just thought that [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name] and [name]Alice[/name] [name]Jane[/name] would be cute! Either way I like [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name]. :o) Your name choices are all so great!

No! [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Leo[/name] are perfect together! [name]Morgan[/name] is nice too but I have met too many little girls with the name. It is currently #56 for girls, which makes me sad. It is a very handsome name imo but I still prefer [name]Leo[/name].

[name]How[/name] about [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Harbor[/name]? or [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]James[/name]?

Would using it as a mn make him happy?

[name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]James[/name]!

I think I might be the only one here, but I prefer [name]Morgan[/name]. I love that name for a boy so much, and I think it’s about time boys reclaimed the name.
[name]Leo[/name] is nice, but the first thing that comes to my mind is the character on [name]Little[/name] Einsteins (I babysit too much).
[name]Morgan[/name] and [name]Jane[/name] are very cute together in my opinion, too.

As for middles, maybe you could use [name]Leo[/name] as a middle as well.
[name]Morgan[/name] [name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name]
[name]Morgan[/name] [name]Leo[/name] Raimi
or, if you really want to use [name]Leo[/name], I’d use [name]Morgan[/name] as a middle.
[name]Leo[/name] [name]James[/name] [name]Morgan[/name]
[name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]Blue[/name]

Good luck!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Leo[/name]. Also love middle name [name]Blue[/name]. [name]Jane[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is gorgeous.

The names are from horror directors. My boyfriend and I are film students, so we want to honor some of the most influential people in our lives. I’m a movie nerd first, name nerd second. Hehe.

So far I do agree with everyone that [name]Leo[/name] fits better with [name]Jane[/name]. I’ll try to reason with him again. I love the suggestion of [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]James[/name]!

I love both names. I think [name]Morgan[/name] is such a handsome, leading-character-of-a-romance-movie kinda name

If it were up to me I’d do [name]Leo[/name] [name]Morgan[/name] [name]James[/name].

I am a total movie nerd too (two of my dogs names are [name]Garbo[/name] and [name]Ninotchka[/name]), and I am positive that your kids won’t be serial killers or anything, but isn’t that a dark shadow to cast over your children? “My mommy and daddy loved zombies and tree rape so much they wanted to name me after these people.”

If you are determined in this homage, I would probably go more subtle. What about [name]Jane[/name] [name]Alice[/name] Suspiria (after the great [name]Dario[/name] [name]Argento[/name] movie) and [name]Leo[/name] [name]Harbor[/name] [name]Campbell[/name] (after the campy [name]Bruce[/name] [name]Campbell[/name] who made the Evil Dead movies so awesome).

I hope you find names you love, but just remember your kids will have to live with them too.

justpeachy - That’s why we are giving them 2 middle names. They have their first names and a middle name to fall back on if they wanted. [name]Romero[/name], [name]Dario[/name], [name]Lucio[/name], and Raimi are all real names, they’re not made up. And the general public will never even know who they are named after unless I tell them.
