WHY DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE THIS NAME?

\

I could be president of the I HATE [name]LOLA[/name] AND [name]STELLA[/name] fan club!!!

I really like the name [name]Mary[/name] - it is classic, not over-popular in this day and age, and can work for a little girl and a grown up. It has Biblical connotations (with the understanding that [name]Mary[/name] was [name]Miriam[/name]), it has many “forms” ([name]Maria[/name], [name]Marie[/name], [name]Marian[/name]), and it “sounds” pretty. Yes, one of its meanings might be “bitter” but throughout the centuries it has come to mean so much more.

My favourite version is [name]Marianne[/name] - said the long way, the first two syllable rhyming with “carrie”, and the last syllable said as “anne” as oppsed to “in” (like marian). You all know what I mean, I think! (athough I like [name]Marian[/name], too!)

Anyway, maybe that explains a bit why people still like this name.
