So, everybody, why or how did you choose your avatar? Does it have a special meaning to you, or is it random? I chose mine semi-randomly, just browsing the web when I came across it. I thought it would be perfect for NB!
I’m also thinking about changing my avatar to either a kawaii chocolate chip cookie, a cloud with sound bars coming out of it, a gray cat walking, or Totoro (the Miyazaki character) bouncing up and down.
I found mine on a wallpaper app and synced it to the computer so I could use it. I love stars, and I might change it every few weeks.
I chose mine when browsing for a flowery picture as my screensaver and I came across it. I instantly loved it and thought it was perfect for my screensaver
and now I use it for everything.

I saw this in an article, and I really like it. It’s pretty, plus I really like birds. I never thought to use a bear, in fact I have no idea why I chose aj_bear. Maybe because aj_bird doesn’t sound as good?
Owls are my favorite thing in the world. I googled for owl icons and found this cute animated one. Plus, it’s grey, my favorite color/username!
Mine is from an [name]Alphonse[/name] Mucha painting called Polyanthus. I fell in love with his [name]Art[/name] Nouveau artwork and this is one of my favourites. I also have it as my Facebook profile pic

I’ve changed mine yet again but too blue flowers. I am just obsessed with them atm.
well my username references this site as well as a song I love called Bluberry Kisses, so I felt it would be approriate to use some type of berry as my avatar! I googled some and eventually came across these cute illusrated blueberries and felt it was a perfect fit
Well, I knew if I had an avatar (I didn’t even have one for the longest time), I wanted something that said something about me, that was personal, but that didn’t really have my picture on it. I wanted a bit of privacy.
I have always wanted to go to Europe (still do, like, really bad), and I love oil paintings… I did this painting of the Rialto my sophomore year of college. I thought it fit.
I just love the cookie monster and I can thank [name]Sesame[/name] street for my love of names e.g [name]Zoe[/name] and my first doll [name]Freda[/name]
I also use iphone/ipod wallpapers for mine. 
I change it, like, every week or so, to just keep it fresh. The one I have now is my favorite yet, so I’ll probably keep it for a while.

I love Halloween & Day of the Dead. I came across the image for Dia de Los Muertos online, and decided that was it!
UPDATE: I changed my Avatar to a “Smile” [name]Say[/name]-Image…but I’m having trouble finding other potential Avatar pictures that I like? Any suggestions of where I can look to find more?

Mine is a picture of my grandfather when he was little.
I love old family photographs, and I went around and around for a while trying to figure out which would be THE avatar. (I’m a nerd, I know.) Finally I settled on the picture of my grandfather sitting on the front porch of his childhood home. My username is southern.maple, so I thought it fitting that my avatar was a picture of my very Southern grandfather sitting in a rocking chair on a front porch. Front porches are, after all, a symbol of Southern hospitality and culture, and no Southern front porch is complete without a few rocking chairs.
Mine is my hands ‘heart-ing’ the Alicante sky. Alicante has the best sky in the world, and I miss it dearly. I made my friend take this pic over Holy Week this year, lol. I forget what my avatar was before this one, though.
