Why is it that almost every boy's name I like is a surname type name?

Looking for thoughts on my current list for boys. As you can see, they’re almost all surnames. Any suggestions of other names I might like?

[name]Griffin[/name] (For over a year now this has been at the top of the list for both my husband and me.)
[name]Davis[/name] (For me [name]Davis[/name] and [name]Griffin[/name] are becoming a close tie for #1 boys name.) :slight_smile:
[name]Beckett[/name]
[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Wilson[/name]
[name]Weston[/name]
[name]Vance[/name]

Also love these, but wouldn’t use them because they’re so common right now: [name]Logan[/name], [name]Mason[/name], [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Ethan[/name].

I love [name]Davis[/name]. [name]Ever[/name] since I heard it on [name]One[/name] Tree [name]Hill[/name], I’ve wanted to use it. So cute, and not too different from [name]David[/name], easy to pronounce and spell. [name]Griffin[/name] is also very nice, cute on a child and easily transitions. I love the surname names as well. I’d use them in my last name wasn’t a first name and last name :frowning: I also love [name]Bennett[/name] and [name]Weston[/name]. So many good choices on your list :slight_smile:
