I’ve noticed a lot of people have gorgeous or really interesting usernames.
So I’m wondering why you guys chose your usernames, or how you thought of them.
Neither of the names in my username are my real name. [name_u]Simone[/name_u] is my [name_m]French[/name_m] name, and Ka De Le (third tone, second tone, fourth tone) is my Chinese name. I chose them for my username because I love learning new languages.
Anyone else? 
Mine’s myosotis, which is the scientific name for my favourite flowers: Forget-me-nots. That’s about it really. I suppose (at a push) it also reflects the fact I’m interested in Ancient mythology, and history too. It was either that or a blatantly obvious reference to my love for all things [name_m]Doctor[/name_m] Who and [name_m]Sherlock[/name_m], but I thought it would be a bit more classy and grown up to have my favourite flower instead XP. Plus I have plenty of that in my signature.
Mine is based off a pseudonym I had in the past: [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] D. [name_u]Phoenix[/name_u]. [name_m]Said[/name_m] out loud, it sounds like the name of a [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] book. But due to restrictions as to how you can write usernames, I changed it to Theodora_Phoenix, though now that I think of if, [name_f]Theodora[/name_f].[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] would probably have got the point across better. Oh well. It’s composed of two of my favorite names.
Oh and also if you see a Theodora Phoenix on another website it’s most likely me! I’ve used this name a few times .
Eh, mine isn’t that interesting. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my kre8if first name and hippie-ish middle name. I’ve used it as my profile name/username on a lot of sites.

I’ve often wondered this too, very interesting! My username is a smoosh of two of my daughters nicknames.
There are two ties to my username. The first is that I adore otters; I was able to get up close to some at an aquarium once and they are fascinating animals. The other reason is related to having a labrador retriever when I was young. Labs are supposed to have an “otter tail”, and I always loved how their tails are constantly moving.
Am lou is my nickname. And the numbers in my username are just random numbers with no meaning
Shvibzik (or rather shvybzik/švibzik, actually – shvibzik is the Anglicised version) was Grand Duchess [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] Nikolaevna of [name_f]Russia[/name_f]'s nickname. It’s presumed to be derived from [name_m]German[/name_m] word for “tipsy” and her aunt Grand Duchess [name_f]Olga[/name_f] Alexandrovna is presumed to have coined the nickname for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. I’ve always loved the word and it seemed logical to use due to my deep passion for royalty, so that’s how that came about.

I was copying my favourite band at the time, [name_m]Lawson[/name_m]. The band members have Twitter accounts, and they are LawsonAdam, LawsonJoel, LawsonAndy and LawsonRyan, the band and their first name. 17 year old me thought that it looked/sounded cool, and so, I did it with my own first name. Now I wish I’d done my favourite [name_f]Shirley[/name_f] [name_u]Temple[/name_u] film ([name_m]Little[/name_m] Miss Broadway), or my idea I had for a blog name (delightfullydoris), but I can’t be bothered to make a new account or PM someone about changing my username.
Well, my first name is [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] and my middle name is [name_u]Lynn[/name_u]. My nickname is [name_f]Jenni[/name_f] (I like it spelled with an “i”). I was born in 1991. Nothing interesting.
I’m determined to name my first daughter Kimimela. When I first joined Nameberry, my favorite first-middle combo was Kimimela [name_f]Grace[/name_f] - hence KimiGrace. That combo has since changed (multiple times). I doubt [name_f]Grace[/name_f] will be my [name_f]Kimmi[/name_f]'s middle name as I now find it bland and overused, but I still like my username well enough.
When I joined, DH had just bought me some beautiful orchids and they were sitting on the table staring at me when I needed to pick a username. I thought hey, orchid_lover will do just fine!
My husband coined my username for me because I wanted something interesting and I’m the worst at making up usernames. I’m a [name_f]Jessica[/name_f], but everyone calls me [name_u]Jess[/name_u] and my married last name is B0nd, plus I’m naturally blonde.
So put all that together and you get jessblonde!
Well, my first name is [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and my middle name is [name_u]Blaise[/name_u]. My family and friends call me [name_u]Caro[/name_u], so I just did caroblaise. It’s my username on a lot of other websites as well.
I’m not really creative when it comes to this kind of thing, so mine is just my first and middle name.
I’m [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], nn [name_f]Meg[/name_f], and Mega Muffin is my dad’s special pet name for me. I always thought that was pretty cute, so I chose it as my username.
Mine’s the first two letters of my first, middle, and maiden names. My uncle used to call me “labelo.”
I’m not sure how the username HarderToBreathe came into being. I’ve used it for so long. I suppose it comes from my love of Maroon 5 (though they aren’t my favorite band which deepens the mystery). I guess I wanted a nondescript username and just chose one of their song titles. I do really like that song so that’s probably it. And it stuck and I now use it for pretty much everything.
