Wilder

I like [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] for a girl. I had [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_f]Blossom[/name_f] on my list.

I agree! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] connection for a girl. It’s more popular for a boy but it’s a surname name so fair game for either sex, I’d say.

I love it as a middle name for a very traditional, even demure, first. I love the fun juxtaposition of the two styles! We had a Babyberry named [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] once, which I loved.

There’s also the recent celeb babies [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] [name_u]Wild[/name_u] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_u]Pepper[/name_u], which use a similarly cool and surprising style clash.

[name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u], [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u]…

I have [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] at the very top of my boys names list but I could see it working for a girl as well.

Hmm I really don’t like any of the wild- names at all. Sorry, not my taste! Seems unisex to me though and if you really want to use it, maybe as a middle??

I don’t mind it! I’m not a huge fan of it as a first name for boy or girl but I love it as a middle for either and I actually have [name_f]Phillipa[/name_f] [name_u]Wilder[/name_u] [name_u]Nyx[/name_u] in my UC!

I like it better on a boy. It just feels very rough and tumble (which girls can also be, but it just seems boyish to me.)

I’ve never loved the name, but I can see the appeal. It’s unexpected and quirky - I slightly prefer [name_u]Wilde[/name_u], though. I get very hipster vibes from it.

It does feel like a truly unisex name to me - works just as well on a girl as it does on a boy.
