Wildflower for a first name?

Would you do it? Has anyone done it? I need to know haha. I was thinking middle name more so, but then it had me thinking if I could use it as a first name and what people would actually think if I did so haha. What are your thoughts?

It’s very bold and I’d personally keep it for a middle, but equally, I suppose it has the sounds of other popular names - [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Fleur[/name_f], [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] etc so maybe it could work. I think it has nn potential - [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Effie[/name_f], [name_f]Edie[/name_f], [name_f]Willa[/name_f], [name_f]Ila[/name_f]/[name_f]Isla[/name_f]

I don’t know, it seems like one of those names that (unless you had a very specific personality type) you’d be embarrassed to speak out loud and would solely go by a nickname. Seems a bit ridiculously posh. I like it a lot as a middle name though!

While I adore it as a middle name, I’d have to agree with @jonquils that it’s hard to imagine anyone named Wildflower as a judge, president, et cetera. It’s a tad bit hard to take seriously.

I’m with everyone else on this one, I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] Wildflower as a middle name, but would never use it as a first. It somehow just has a very different feeling depending on where it is, as a middle it’s unexpected, cool and a beautiful connection to nature - as a first it just kinda screams overly hippie

Not a fan of it at all as it’s a word not a ‘proper name’. But if you like it, go for it.

Far too whimsical as a first name. You would have to have a very specific persona to pull off Wildflower.

The word in itself is clunky sounding, but I always say go with your own feelings on a thing. I would personally name after a type of wildflower instead but that’s just me.

Please don’t. As a middle name, it’s adorable - but give them a first name they can live with.
