hello berry friends, i hope the sun is shining on you today ![]()
i will make this much quicker than my writing in the miscarriage thread, for all intents and purposes. my husband and i sadly experienced another chemical pregnancy just two weeks ago, and have been ruminating on choosing a name for that sweet little soul. it is something that always brings us a lot of peace, and a small way to connect with that child in meditation and prayer.
with our [name_f]Willa[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] and [name_m]Rivers[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m], they came to me and showed me clearly their names. and as many of you know, before [name_f]Elowyn[/name_f] was born, she did the same. this little one gave me [name_m]Wren[/name_m]. my dear husband adores that name and so do i, so that feels utterly perfect, though i do like the idea of giving them something more substantial, and incorporating family.
we had decided on [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], two family names, with the nickname āWrenā, and how i love that. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] with an avian nickname feels reminiscent of the verse found in [name_m]Matthew[/name_m], telling how [name_m]God[/name_m] cares for the birds and wildflowers and us much more. i also planted wildflowers to honor this babe. however, i do wonder if this feels a bit too stuffy next to our other babesā names, which have sort of this laidback hippie feel.
so, iāve come to ask you your thoughts. is sweetly vintage [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] āWrenā a good fit for our little songbird, or should we opt for something a bit more nature inspired (perhaps also in the idea to go more gender neutral, weāve considered [name_f]Prairie[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] āPrairie Wrenā)?
if you have suggestions, as well, iād love to hear them. thank you for any help you can offer. i have always found that names are the first gift we give to our children, and itās something we love to devote care to, even with our angel babies ![]()
