Hello,
I’ve got a bit of a dilemma. I’m due a little girl at the end of [name_f]September[/name_f]. I’m so in love with the name [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]. And it’s a good fit with my other little girl, [name_f]Annie[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. However, I’m UK based and [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is a brand of margarine over here. Lots of people seem to think I’d be setting her up for a fall. My alternative name is [name_f]Faye[/name_f] Clemnentine, which I love, but I’m having a hard time giving up a [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. What would you do?
Thank you!
I think you’re fine! [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is a stunning name! Try my kid whose name she shares with a musical instrument and nameberry comment section have showered dislike upon because of its similarity to words violent and violate… Honestly, I’ve only ever garnered compliments on her name and with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] I think it will be no different.
I would use [name_f]Flora[/name_f] if you really love it. Yes, there’s the margarine, but I live in the UK too, and it’s definitely not unheard of, and fits the general style of names here. It’s in the top 1000 (about half way) so the margarine isn’t putting people off. And the teenage Bake Off contestant might have brought [name_f]Flora[/name_f] to attention as a more usable choice too. I really love [name_f]Faye[/name_f], but I don’t think you can go wrong with [name_f]Flora[/name_f] either. I hope that helped!
Is this a double post of the other thread?
I think it will be fine. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is gorgeous! I think [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is a great choose as well.
