Hmmm…no I don’t think it really fits. It fits with [name_f]Minerva[/name_f] but that’s it. I adore [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] though. [name_u]June[/name_u] does sound a little too similar
I have asked about [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] a while ago on here myself. A [name_m]Swede[/name_m] educated me that it’s pronounced SUNN-eva where the first syllable sounds a bit like “son”.
Several people commented that it reminded them of “[name_m]Son[/name_m] of a -!”, which I couldn’t unhear after that. Good to be aware of where some other people’s minds go.
I have a whole list of sunny names… I love Sunna (SOON-nah) and Sóley (SOUL-ey). But I’d still cheer for anyone naming their daughter [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] too and it would be secondary to me whether it matches other names (which, tbh, I don’t think it does but it doesn’t clash and that’s more important [name_f]IMO[/name_f].)
But you don’t know if you are going to use all of your current favourites so they don’t need to all tie together? I think it is a lovely name and it would be a shame to discount especially given the significance for you.
